The Boy Down The Street

Chapter Eight

I don't want to make this small note long so, thank you all for waiting for me to write a new chapter it's sort of difficult to keep the story going the way I want to but I'm working around it and I plan on making another.

*Seth's POV*

*Knock Knock Knock*

I heard a loud knock on the door and slowly opened my eyes turning towards the door, I looked down at Keisha to see she was still peacefully sleeping and laid back down

*Knock Knock Knock*

Someone knocked again a lot louder this time,

"It's open." I said in a groggy voice. The door opened and Ryan walked in looking worried, I sat up quickly wondering why he looked the way he did.

"Are you good?" I asked sounding worried

"Where have you been?" He asked

"Here with Keisha why?"

"Mom had an accident at the house, she was asleep the other night and someone broke in through the back window. They didn't take anything but they went up to mom's room and she said they were just looking at her sleep, she woke up and the dude was standing over her bed side just watching her sleep. I was over at Vanessa's house staying with her I didn't know until she called me, she was crying over the phone and wanted to know where we were in case the dude was looking for us." Ryan said quickly almost not taking a single breath. I got out of the bed and started to put on my pants and shirt waking up Keisha while I got up.

"Good morning." She said opening her eyes and looking over, "Hey Ryan. Where are you guys going." She asked in a tired voice.

"My house was broken into the other night and only my mom was at home and now she's really worried I have to get to my house to check on her." I said putting on my shoes.

"Do you want me to go with you?" Keisha asked

"If you can quickly get dressed but don't say anything to her yet, she knows about you but she hasn't met you." I said

"Alright, umm Ryan can you step out really fast?" I asked

"Yeah I'll be waiting down stairs." Ryan said walking out of the room and closing the door.

"Come on just throw on something I need to get there fast I'll be waiting down stairs with Ryan." I said rushing out of the room.

"Okay." She said stepping out of the bed

We finally got to my house and I saw the window was broken along with pieces of glass on the floor, I looked at Ryan and he looked back at me with the same expression

"Is that new?" I asked

"I hope not." Ryan said not moving, I ran into the house and yelled for my mom. I heard her running from the kitchen and into the living room where I was and I stood frozen. She only showed worry on her face and then surprise when she looked behind me.

"Who is this?" She asked looking at Keisha

"I'm Keisha the girlfriend you haven't met.." I say looking down at the floor

"Well hello I'm Synthia Ryan and Seth's mom, it's very nice to meet you Keisha." Synthia said walking over to Keisha to give her a hug.

"I'm sorry we had to meet on these terms if I had known you were coming I would have worn something more suitable." Synthia said smiling and cupping Keisha's face.
