*One Hour Later*

"This movie is so sad but so good." I said setting my chicken and rice down on the table.

"I think it's pretty fucked up how the girl is deaf though." Logan said shaking his head.

"Yeah they should really change that, wait be quiet this looks good." I said holding my hand up to Logan so he would be quiet. We both sat up watching the girl climb the roof of her house in complete silence.

*Knock Knock Knock*

We heard a loud knock at the door and I nearly fell off of the couch from jumping. Logan stood up and walked over to the door to find our mom with her hands full of bags.

"MOM!!" He shouted in excitement as Linda dropped her bags and wrapped her arms around Logan to give him a tight hug.

"Hey baby I missed you so much! What have you guys been doing?" She asked releasing him and walking towards me. I stood up and gave her a long hug.

"You're looking at it." Logan said pointing towards the table and t.v.

"That sounds fun but I bet my trip was better." Linda said laughing to herself.

"And how have you been my sweet child." She said releasing me and looking up at me.

"Stressed, worried, and quite scared." I said, "But other than those feelings I've been pretty great."

"Why is that?" She asked looking concerned."

"You've missed quite a bit in the past few weeks that you've been gone." I said

"Did you and Seth break up or something?" She said putting her hands on my shoulders.

"I'll explain everything after we get you settled." I said looking down at her, "Right now I'll go get your other bags from the car." I said smiling

"I already got them." Logan said walking in with two suit cases and a large duffel bag.

We helped Linda unpack her things and sat down at the kitchen table. We discussed the events that went on while she was gone explaining everything in depth. When we finished telling her about Seth and Ryan's mother she had tears in her eyes.

"You guys I had no idea. I'm never leaving you guys home alone like that again." She said wiping a tear running down her face.

"That's because we didn't tell you." I said reaching across the table to hold her hand.

"If I had known I would have come home right away.. why didn't you guys tell me?"

"We didn't want you to worry about things like this on your trip." Logan said

"You didn't want me to worry? I could have lost you or Keisha just a few days ago and never known until I got a call from a police officer." Linda said looking at the both of us

"We know what could have happened but it didn't and that's all that matters in this situation." I said, she looked stunned for a moment and then wiped away her tears.

"We invited Seth, Ryan, and their mom over for dinner tonight, we all sort of agreed on pizza and were gonna play pool and maybe hang out downstairs and watch movies and stuff." I said trying to change the subject.

"That sounds great, now I can gloat about my amazing trip." Linda said laughing and squeezing my hand a little harder.

"We figured you were gonna do that tonight so we told them to prepare for that." Logan said laughing along with her.
