The girl walked towards him and he was frozen.
Out of fear or adoration? Who could tell?
Andy looked around in alarm. He was the only one left on the sidewalk, waiting for his uber. The girl stood next to him and sized him up.
"Nice night to be stranded, huh?" She sighed. Andy looked over at the girl and felt his mouth instantly get dry.
She had eyes that were as stormy and mysterious as the ocean, along with a smirk that seemed to hold secrets from the beginning of time.
"I-I guess." Andy stuttered.
"Well it could be like below freezing or raining so I can't complain." The girl replied quietly. She wore a black jacket and maroon pants. Such casual attire for what had been a fancy affair. Andy looked at his phone and wished for his uber to hurry up and arrive.
Another part of him wanted it to never come.
"You look troubled." The girl stated.
"Just want to be home." Andy answered back absentmindedly, looking anywhere but at the female.
"You'll get home Andy." Andy froze and turned to the girl.
"How do you know my name?" He mumbled.
"I know all and I see all. The world has much in store for you Andrew Hurley. You just have to live long enough to see it." She answered. The mysterious woman placed a kiss at the corner of his lips and disappeared.
How did she know about his plans for tonight?
How did she know about the loaded gun he had waiting for him upon his return?
She came crashing into him like a wave, and with the same swiftness, she ebbed into the night.
Who was this mysterious woman?
Did she just save his life?
