Chapter 10 - Promise Me

The Great Pagoda Library, Marsha Muster III

"DON'T TOUCH HER YOU DECEIVABLE ASSHOLE!!!" A yell was heard from a familiar voice where the bullet shot from. Aiden was greeted by a punch to the face from a gauntlet. Aiden got launched back a bit far, but managed to stay standing.

"Ethyl?!" Raena looks at Ethyl as he stands in front of her with two modified electro batons. Milli, Nuru, and Sineeda took out a few cultists.

"Ethyl! Settle down!" Esther's voice was heard from the earpiece Nuru gave them.

"That fucker's just messing with your head with lies..." Ethyl looked over at Raena. " You were too easily tricked. You were being hypnotized by a fucking mage just now."

Raena frowns and clutches her chest. "I'm sorry."

Ethyl didn't reply. He retracts the blades out of his gauntlet. "That boy..." Esther examined Aiden from Ethyl's visor. "He looks familiar... Could it be?"

"Who's this asshole, Esther?" Ethyl asked in anger.

"That's the apprentice of someone I knew... Asra Nox..." Esther replied. "The leader of the Occasus Cult."

"Oh those Occasus assholes... I've seen a few of these fuckers before..."

"Watch your words, Ethyl!"

"Before...?" Raena thought. "So that means... This whole time Aiden was..."

"A novakid, and his crew of lowlives?" Aiden boastfully laughed as a few more cultists beam down behind him. "Get them."

The cultists charged at Ethyl and his crew with all of them prepared to fight. "Sineeda, the hylotls!" He commanded Sineeda to protect the innocents that were in the library.

"Got it!" Sineeda ran over to the hylotl crowd to defend them.

They fought the cultists coming at them. Aiden watched them fight, but then Raena approached him with Aizo's spear. "Aiden..." She called out.

Aiden looks over at Raena, who is prepared to fight. "Very well then." He drew out his katana and clashed with Raena.

Raena blocked one of Aiden's attacks with the spear. "That spear won't last against the Solus Katana!" Aiden boasted, as the sword's blade lit an orange color. The spear almost got cut by it, so Raena leaped back.

Raena went back into stance, not afraid to keep fighting. "I didn't want to do this... Aiden." She thought. "But I have to... I have to stop you..."

Ethyl looks over to the two fighting. "Shit, is she stupid?!"

"Watch your words, Ethyl!" Esther yelled at Ethyl through the earpiece.

"NOW IS NOT THE FUCKING TIME TO LECTURE ME!" Ethyl yelled back. He tries to get to Raena, but more cultists block his path. Ethyl stood back and retracted his blade back in again.

"Bring it on." He drew both the electro batons and turned it on. Instead of it having the blue color and shock, it had an orange color.

Aiden kept fighting Raena. She tried her best to not do to much damage on the spear, like instead of blocking his attacks she decides to dodge it.

Aiden grew frustrated and moved faster, that Raena still caught up with until he eventually cut the spear in half. "You can't fight anymore, Raena. Give up." Aiden pointed the blade at Raena.

Suddenly, a chair was thrown at Aiden and launched him back. Raena looks over to where the chair came from. "THAT'S HOW IT FEELS, ASSHOLE!" Aizo yelled at Aiden.
