Septinium Ship, Space
Asukinai comes down the stairs from Sineeda's room, sighing in relief.
"Were you able to give it to him, lass?" Milli asked, while rinsing one of the plates.
"Y-Yeah." Asukinai replied.
"What's he doing?"
"He dozed off on his desk..."
"I see..." Milli sets the plate on the dish dryer. "Hey Asuki? I've been wondering..."
"Yes?" Asukinai sits back down and goes back to reading her book.
"How was your friend like?" Milli scrubs another plate with the sponge. "The lad in the memory drive you have?"
"Oh... Johannes." Asukinai looks up from her book. "He was more quiet than the others in our group. Always logical and serious."
"Hmm..." Milli hums in interest to her friend.
"He had a right to be, I suppose. It was in his programming. I'm not certain if he'll be the same once he gets a new body..."
"A quiet type huh? He seems to be a good lad."
"Yeah..."
Milli puts another plate in the dryer. "Is he your..." She rushes over to Asukinai, smirking. "Boyfriend~?"
Asukinai backs away suddenly, laughing a little bit. "No! I was never into anybody on Earth to be honest." She replies. "Much less Johannes, he reminds me of my older brother."
"That's getting somewhere~" Milli moves her eyebrows up and down.
"You concern me..."
"I know~"
"...Aren't you supposed to be washing dishes or something?"
"Hmph, killjoy." Milli goes back to washing the last plate.
While Asukinai goes back to reading, she thinks about the name Sineeda mumbled in his sleep.
"Oh, by the way, do you know anybody named... what was it..." She tries to remember the name Sineeda mumbled. "Right, Ana. Anybody named Ana?"
Milli paused, as she turns off the faucet after she was done washing. A few seconds of silence filled the room. "Where'd you hear that name?"
"Uh... Sineeda. He mumbled it when I was upstairs." Asukinai suddenly felt nervous, thinking that she asked something that wasn't supposed to be asked.
"...For the sake of Sineeda, it's too personal." She replied. "If he trusts you, he might tell you."
Asukinai looks somewhere else. "Okay..."
"But, if he does tell you..." Milli looks at her with hostile eyes. "Don't ever betray him, or I will never forgive you."
"I-I'm sorry for asking about it... but I don't think you'll need to worry about my betrayal..." Asukinai's posture straightens as she looks Milli in the eyes. "I can prove myself."
Milli sighs. "Good! Sorry, I wasn't myself for a second there!"
Asukinai smiles, nervously. "Yeah, it seemed unlike you."
"But really, Sineeda is a really great friend. He isn't like those cannibals you met in the camp." Milli yawns and walks out the kitchen. "I'm gonna get some rest, goodnight Asuki!"
"Goodnight." Asukinai smiles as Milli left. "I probably won't be tired again for a couple hours..."
