Chapter 12 - Aye Aye, Captain!

Septinium Ship, Space

Raena, Sineeda, and Milli beams back up to the ship. Raena immediately sits down next to the window and cries, knowing the one she has loved for so long has been in the dark side all along.

Milli went over to her to comfort her. "There there..."

"How could he...? " Raena looks up at Milli. "For so long he... was so friendly and then... He..." She couldn't talk straight, she was crying too much.

Milli hugs Raena close. "I will grab her sssome water." Sineeda walks to the back door to the kitchen.

Raena hid her face on her arms as she cried more. "I even feel so bad... About how I saw novakids.... especially Ethyl." Raena still has tears on her eyes. "I'm... so sorry..."

Milli widens her eyes and frowns. "I'm sure he'll forgive you... A lot has looked at him like you did."

Raena hides her face back around her arms, then Aizo and Ethyl beams up into the ship. "Don't fucking do that!" Aizo pushes Ethyl back, as he chuckled. He stops and looks over to Raena.

"She hasn't stopped..." Milli frowns as she looks over to Ethyl.

If he were to have a face, he would be frowning and showing pity to Raena. He walks over to Milli and leans over to her. "Give her that one vacant room above Sin's." Ethyl pointed over to Aizo with his thumb.

"Aye, cap'n." Milli stands up and walks over to Aizo. "Follow me, Aizo." She walks over to the back door, where the rest of the rooms are.

"Okay...?" Aizo follows Milli, Ethyl sits down next to Raena and then Sineeda walks back in the room.

"Here, I got her a glass of water." Sineeda hands Raena the glass of water. She looks up and slowly grabs it then drinks it, calming her down a bit.

Ethyl notices her tears still running down from her cheeks. "Thanks... Sineeda..." Raena wiped her tears with her hands. Sineeda bows and leaves the two alone in the room.

Raena sniffs then looks down. "Here..." Ethyl grabs out a handkerchief  then uses it to wipe her face. She blushes then takes it from him to wipe her own face. "Wash your face, your face is a mess. After that, I need you to come back here."

Raena nods as she stands up from the couch and walks over to the kitchen sink to wash her face. She walks back to Ethyl who is examining Aiden's Solus Katana on his lap. She sat back down next to him, wiping her eye with the handky.

"Do you have the artifact?" He points the blade up, examining its blade.

"Mhm..." Raena takes it out from her pocket then lays it between them.

They stayed silent for a while, making the atmosphere kinda awkward.

"I need to know more about this Aiden guy if you wouldn't mind." Ethyl strokes his finger through the blade to see how sharp it was without the Solus on. "If we're going to go up against him, I need to know how he was when you were his classmate."

"I don't mind..." Raena stops tearing up. "He... Was one of the top in the class. The third, I think? He was friends with everyone, including other races but– Wait..."

"Hm?"

"He never had any close friends who aren't humans..."

"I see. Anything else? Maybe something relating to a dead relative of his?"

"He said he lives with his uncle and auntie, but he never talked about his parents."

"Hmm..." Ethyl crosses his arms with the katana on his lap. "He even shows a lot of hatred and fear towards me. It seems that my kind are the reason why he's part of this cult."
