That night.
"Oh come on, it's not stupid."
Taehyung places the warm cup of tea on the balcony's table. It was three am, and after a couple of hours of partying they decided to call it a night at Hoseok's apartment. Jungkook and Taehyung were alone out on the balcony, meanwhile Seokjin and Hoseok chatted inside due to the rush of the late night breeze outside.
After a couple of drinks, both men got to know each other a lot more during the night. Maybe, even got closer quicker than expected.
Jungkook traces the outside of the ceramic cup of his tea. his cold hands warming at the touch. "I thought we were in love," he says, ticking his head to the side with a sigh.
"He looked at me as a little boy, and i wanted him to see me as a man, but it was too late.."
"Did you catch him in the act?" Taehyung asks.
Jungkook let out another sigh. "... I didn't, I kinda just connected the dots myself." He slumps his shoulders.
"A relationship isn't just about sex Kookie," Taehyung says, and puts his hand on Jungkook's, "A significant other shouldn't be labeled as a sex toy. Don't feel like crap because your ex couldn't keep his baby dick in his pants!"
Jungkook let out a small chuckle and looked at Taehyung. "... You're really adorable you know that?" he says.
"We're not on a date," Taehyung laughs, "Stop acting like we are."
"Alright, little prince," Jungkook teases only to receive a small punch on the shoulder with a playful 'ouch', "So, why are you the only one without any tattoos? I heard your brother has some and dad has a lot. Why not you?"
Taehyung shrugs. "When he reached twenty-one he asked our papa to tattoo smeraldo flowers on his shoulders. To him, those flowers represented beauty and growth. When we were kids, he dealt with a lot of insecurity since our mother never was proud of us. He wanted to be a son a mother would happily boast about to her friends, but our mother sorta just seemed ashamed of us.."
"My papa and brother have stories they want to carry with them till death," he shrugs, "I guess I just haven't found a story I want to carry with me forever yet."
"... I'm sure you'll find yours," Jungkook smiles softly, squeezing Taehyung's hand softly as he places his other hands on top of Tae's, "You have a wonderful family."
"Your hands, they're so warm," Taehyung laughed again, his breath turning into fog in the crisp cold air. It was a sweet laugh, soothing even. The tip of his nose began to turn slightly pink.
"... So what about you?" Jungkook asks, "I'm sure a prince like you must have a bit of relationship troubles."
Taehyung shakes his head. "I dont date much, and I've met some terrible guys and girls in the past, but i try to forget it..."
Jungkook moved their hands to his lips, clasping Taehyung's hand between his, he blows warm air into them, warming the cold hand. "... I guess we both have people we want to forgot huh?" he says, smiling up to Taehyung again.
"Is it just me," Taehyung sighs resting his chin on the palm of his other hand, "... I dunno, but you just seem so safe. I don't know how to explain it."
"What do you mean?" Jungkook says, moving their hands away from his lips.
"You just seem so easy to talk to," Taehyung says, "... I just feel safe around you. Like i can tell you anything, and you'd listen."
"... I know we just met like a couple days ago," Taehyung shifts to sit up properly, "but i-... I dunno."
"Should i take that as a compliment?" Jungkook chuckles.
"Take it however you want it," Taehyung hums softly.
Taehyung looks at the sliding door when Seokjin's voice echoes from inside the apartment.
"Taehyung, the taxi is here. Let's go home."
Jungkook groans when Taehyung hand moves away from his.
"I'll text you when I get home, okay?" Taehyung puts a reassuring smile on his lips before getting up.
