"... What's your curfew? ... I don't wanna upset your dad by bringing you home late.."

Taehyung laughs softly, his arm linked with Jungkook's. "I'm an adult, he knows that, but he would appreciate if you brought me home before midnight though..."

A simple art museum date lead them to satisfy their growling stomachs at a nearby restaurant. Jungkook had given a beautiful bouquet of pink roses for Taehyung just before heading to the museum, and Taehyung hasn't put down the bouquet since. The color of the roses reminded Jungkook of Taehyung's pretty little blush on his cheeks, hence why he had to get them.

Their first date felt natural, but of course the both were very nervous at the start. They eased into each other's warmth after shaking off the shy feeling. Taehyung took plenty of photos of the area surrounding the date, and Jungkook sneakily took a couple of pictures of Taehyung when he wasn't looking.

The look of happiness was in Jungkook's eyes the whole time.

The same eyes that use to shine under Jimin's presence once, but now glows in adoration even just by Taehyung's laugh. It was a soft kind of love, like a puppy excited to see its new owner.

Maybe it was the way Taehyung happily took the bouquet of flowers without hesitation, or the bright smile on his face when they entered the museum, but Jungkook felt lighter. The weight on his shoulders gone, the heaviness of his chest disappeared.

As if someone took the weight off him.

The day fell into night, and both men had to say their goodbyes.

Taehyung, with the bouquet still in his hands, stood by the front door of the tattoo studio. That same big smile on his face. "... Thanks for tonight," he says.

Jungkook shoves his hands in his pocket. "Thanks for accepting the date," he laughs. "Does your papa need help cleaning up? I don't mind staying up a couple of hours with you."

"Ah, you're gonna cling onto to me like a baby," Taehyung ruffles Jungkook's hair, "I'll text you a goodnight message."

"Before you go," Jungkook says, "... I just think we should talk about us. I know it's late and stuff and your brother is probably watching us inside the house..."

"I just wanna know if you're not scared.."

"Scared about what?" Taehyung asks.

"Having a new relationship," Jungkook replies with a shrug, "... With Hyungsik and everything, I don't want you to be scared. Scared of commitment, scared... Scared of me.."

"I trust you," Taehyung smiles softly, and grabs Jungkook's hand. "I'll never be afraid of you, you're like a cute little bunny!"

Jungkook laces his fingers with Taehyung's. "What about you, kookie?" Taehyung asks. "... After Jimin and all..."

"You're not like him," Jungkook shakes his head, "You're not, you're different."

Taehyung squeezes his hand softly. "Are you happy?" He asks, his eyes darting to the ink on his wrist. "... I don't think we should start anything yet if you still feel bad about..."

"You make me happy," Jungkook smiles softly, "That's all I can say now. If you want to wait, then I'll wait. Let's wait..."

A soft pair of lips peck Jungkook's cheek, Taehyung's hand still intertwined with Jungkook's. A smile filled of adoration occupies Jungkook's lips as Taehyung pulls away.

The studio door creaks open, and Namjoon steps out into the late night breeze. "Thank you for bringing him home before curfew," he says to Jungkook.

Taehyung waves goodbye once more and walks inside.

"... Come inside," Namjoon says,

"Let's have a talk before you head home."
