It was another spring day, a whole load of pollen and the urge to grab some ice cream right after school. The trees were caught in a gentle breeze, and children were anxious to see their parents again after a long day of activities.
The middle school teacher excused everyone to break, and many rushed out to play in the sun. Grabbing their snacks, soccer balls, and friends, everybody rushed outside the classroom.
Hoseok and Jungkook stayed inside. Hoseok with a bright smile, he excitedly grabs the gardening gloves from the back with an apron. Jungkook with a slightly loud sigh, prepares himself for another day of dirty work in the garden.
"Okay you two," Jungkook's teacher says, "You both better come back on time. If Hoseok gets too many tardies in his own classroom, I can't let him help you in the garden."
"Yes Ms. Lee," Jungkook nods, grabbing the pack of rose seeds and bag of soil beside Hoseok.
They bid their goodbyes and head to the garden at the front of the school. Hoseok grabs the packet of seeds and holds all the light stuff, meanwhile Jungkook handles the heavy bag of soil in both arms with the tools in his apron pockets. They walk down and through each hall, pass all the classrooms and other students.
Hoseok begins to ramble, but Jungkook doesn't mind. "My mom wants me to get into a performing art school, but I said no. I didn't want to leave you alone."
"What! Why?" Jungkook exclaims, "Performing art schools are awesome! You're talented, don't let that go to waste!"
"You're my only best friend!" Hoseok laughs, "I can't leave you alone! I have other friends, but I don't have as much fun with them as I do with you!"
