{Savannah's POV}
That night, as I had promised Shailene, I went outside, and plopped down in the grassy meadow behind my new house.
I stared at the sky. The empty, dark sky.
Or rather, empty, until I saw a glint of Shailene's star far, far away.
"Oh Shailene, I wish you were here," I sighed. I really missed her, even though it had been so long since she moved on.
I just sat there, looking up at her star, until night completely took over, and all I could see were stars speck long the sky. No more than that.
Mitch came outside, and put a hand on my shoulder, looking up as well.
"What're you doing?" he asked, trying to see what I was looking it.
"Just talking with an old friend," I replied casually.
"Looks like you're just talking to Jupiter," he
laughed slightly."Fine, I'm talking to my old friend Jupiter," I corrected myself. This conversation was going just like the one we had all had with Shailene, just a couple years ago.
"Well, when you're done talking with the solar system, come inside. It's already ten," Mitch told me, walking back inside.
"I'll be back," I assured "Jupiter," and stood up, brushing myself off.
I followed Mitch inside, but not before waving at the sky.
"Bye, old friend," I smiled, then shut the back door.
