I turn over in my bed as I force myself to wake up. The sunlight peaks through the curtains hurting my still awakening eyes. The first night in my new cabin was successful, I stayed warm and slept like a baby. I dangle my legs off my bed then yawn and walk over to my sink and start to make a pot of coffee with my keurieg. I decide with white chocolate mocha for today. I press play on my speaker and the sound of Johnny Cash comes on making me smile. Never can go wrong with him.
I look outside and notice it's already a sunny day and looks to be nice for a temperature. I'll never get used to the sun shinning through the trees, it's the most nostalgic feeling ever to me. As my coffee brews I pull my tee shirt off and rummage through my drawers, standing in my bra and shorts.
All of a sudden the door flies open and I snap to look who was but then I hear, "Woah!" Recognizing Austin's voice, "Damn it Codi put on a shirt!"
I roll my eyes and slip on a navy blue shirt, "Wasn't the point of me living out here so I could have some privacy?" I growled at my brother as I reopened the door, but as I did I noticed all three plus one more, Weston. Thank God he didn't walk in first.
They all pile inside, at least Weston tipped his at towards me, showing some respect. "Great you're making coffee." Austin says as he sits down on my chair.
"And I suppose you want me to make you breakfast?" I sarcastically say as I walk over to my sink.
"That would be great." He says back to me, earning a glare from me.
"Codi what if that was a stranger who walked in?" Beau says who sits on my bed. I roll my eyes because what 'stranger' would be walking around the ranch, and more importantly around the woods of Wyoming?
I grab a mug from a cabinet, "That's why I have a gun beside my bed." I say in obvious tone as I pour my coffee, and then place the lid on it then turn to the boys who look at my grandpa's old .17 Golden Boy. "So the next time you plan to intrude, I suggest you knock unless you want a bullet in your side." I warn them, because next time I'll be ready.
"Noted." Wyatt nodded surely.
"So why are you here?" I ask as I start to make a pot of coffee for them.
"We wanted to see if you wanted come fishing with us." Beau says and I turn around with a smile.
"Of course I do, but I have to get my stuff-"
"Already have it in the back of the pickup, little sister." Beau speaks again and I smile at them, I guess my brothers aren't that horrible.
"Why don't you guys wait outside while I get decent and then I'll bring your coffee out then we can go." I say as I start to usher them out.
"Codi you don't have to get all dolled up for Weston." Wyatt snickers, making the others laugh, which earns Wyatt a smack to the back of the head.
"Oh shut up." I growl at him, then I look at Weston who's smirking at me as he passes me.
"That's right, pard. I think she looks prettier than a Wyoming summer night right now." He smoothly says, earning groans from my older brothers. I tucked in my lips to hide my smile at his flirt as I turn him around by pushing his shoulders and out the door.
With the curtains closed, I slip off my shorts and turn into a comfortable pair of jeans and boots. Then I walk over to my mirror and notice my messy low ponytail, with strands sticking out every direction. My eyes weren't that puffy from just waking up, but I definitely wasn't looking my best. So I grabbed my mascara and did my lashes just how I liked them.
Before I walked out of the cabin, I grabbed an old Double Barrel Ranch truckers hat and put it on my head pairing it with a braid. I tuck my phone into my back pocket and grabbed everyone's coffee mugs and walked outside. "You didn't put any of the mocha shit in mine did you?" Austin asks before he takes a sip.
