I open my eyes when I hear my alarm go off, today the song is "Hell Yeah" by Montgomery Gentry. I throw the covers off me and tiredly walk to my bathroom, to try to wake myself up. The reason I am so tired is because I stayed up way longer than I usually do talking to Jesse last night. We both lost track of time, it was easy for us to talk about anything.
This is only second day of us "dating" but it didn't feel like it. I think after he asked me out, our true feelings toward each other finally came out and now we're acting on them. It's literally the best thing in the world right now.
After my mascara is applied and approved, I stand up to walk over to my closet to decide what to wear. I decide to wear a baby blue long sleeve shirt and a pair of boot cut jeans, and braiding my hair with some loose pieces in the front. I also decide to wear my pearl earings and a cross necklace, tucking it behind my shirt.
When I grab my phone I see Jesse texted me, 'Good morning, beautiful.' I smile as I read the swooning message and I replied back to him.
I walk into the kitchen with the smile still plastered on my face once I see my family already sitting down at the table, "Good morning." I say as I walk over and grab a muffin.
"Someone's excited to see their boyfriend." My mom smiles at me and I don't say anything but smile.
"I'm calling you in sick." Dad says as he puts down the newspaper.
"Dad, come on." I roll my eyes at him.
"But Chayni, you're my little girl.." He pouts to me.
"I'm 18, dad." I say as I grab my backpack.
"Since when?" He asks in a fake shocked tone.
"Since August 23!" Mikey pipes in making me smile and making my dad finally give up.
"That's right Mikey, c'mon lets go to school." I say and then he hops down from the chair and grabs his backpack and follows me out the door. "What station do you want to listen to today?" I ask him as we buckle up in my pickup.
"Dolly Parton." He beams and I chuckle and press on the station and soon a Dolly Parton song comes on and he's singing along with her.
When I get to school I look for Jesse's pickup, which is here but the lights aren't on telling me he isn't in there. He must of had to go in early to work on something. I park in my usual spot right by Blake, which this time she joins me in my pickup. "Morning." She says.
"Morning, how was your weekend?" I ask her.
"Boring, Hunter was mostly busy on Sunday and yesterday. How was yours? Did Jesse ask you?"
My jaw drops with an escaping laugh, "How did you know?"
Now she's the one surprised, "He did?! You guys are going out?" She practically screams at me.
"Yeah," I blush, "But how did you know?"
"Well you guys were flirting the whole time on Saturday, so I hoped he followed through on it."
"We were not flirting the whole time." I roll my eyes at her but her expression remains the same.
"Yes you were," She points at me. "He was practically eyeing you up the whole time and did whatever he had to do to talk to you and you went along with it." Now that I think of it, we were guilty, but I don't regret it one bit. "How did he ask you out?!"
I blush while I play with my fingers in my lap, deciding what to tell her. I wanted to keep the field moment between Jesse and me, it's too special to share. "Well he came over to my house to ride and we had a really good time. Later as we were saying goodbye he gave me the most beautiful flowers and then asked me."
