I hum to myself as I scramble around in my cabin as I try to pick out an outfit for church this morning. It's mid January and I really don't have any cute winter clothes, which is weird since I live in freaking Wyoming. I'll have to go shopping with Chayni soon.
I pull out a pair of dark blue trouser jeans, slipping them on quickly as I stare at my clothes. I look out the window to see it lightly snowing outside, so I should dress warm. I grab a nice black long sleeve with a flowy bottom hem and pull it over my head. I pair the shirt with a faux coyote fur vest, leaving the vest unzipped. Now it's time for makeup.
I quickly do my lashes and a light layer of foundation, trying not to go overboard for a Sunday morning. I pull my hair into a high ponytail, pulling it slightly to give it a messy look and some volume. I pull a few small strands to frame my face.
I nod my head to the beat of the song as I dig in my jewelry box, trying to find my hoop earrings. I don't want to wear my big hoops, because you know what they say: The bigger the hoops, the bigger the hoe. So I keep the hoops to a classy size.
As I poke my left earring through I see Weston's pickup coming towards the cabin. Yes, sadly he got a brand new Chevy pickup, ditching his '67 Chevy Impala. But it doesn't change how hot he looks driving.
I unplug my phone from the cord, tucking it in my back pocket as I head towards the door. I pull up my pants as I slip my feet into my tan worn out corral square toe boots, feeling the satisfying pop of the foot into the sole.
When I open the door my eyes close from the brightness of the blinding white snow. I slam my door close making sure no snow was caught in the frame then I quickly get into Weston's pickup. "Morning." I say as I close the passenger door.
"Morning." He greets back as he shifts gears. He puts his hand on the back of my headrest as he looks out the back window to back up. For some odd reason I've always found this action attractive in guys, especially Weston. I admire how sharp his jawline looked with his head turned like that, and something else about how the lighting hits his gorgeous brown eyes. "No coat? Do you know how cold it is outside?" He says as he retracts his arms and shifting the pickup back in drive, looking at my outfit.
I look at him and see he is wearing a flannel coat, a denim long sleeve button down, and a wild rag. He is very prepared for the weather. "Well the service isn't outside is it?" I jokingly sass back to him with a perk of my eyebrow.
He looks forwards at the road, but gives me a side eye, "Not even 11 o'clock and you've already got sass." He says in a neutral voice making me grin.
"You love my sass." I say as I lean over and kiss his bearded cheek, which he leans in to.
As I lean back he turns his head with a loving grin on his handsome face, "I do." He confirms lightly, making me smile cockily as I buckle in. I rest my left elbow on the center counsel as I look outside the window. Then I feel my hand being grabbed and my fingers being entwined with his as he drives. We look at each other with adoring smiles, squeezing the other's hand.
Weston and I squeeze into the pew as I sit down next to my brother Beau, Weston taking the end of the pew. Weston subtly takes off his coat and tries to flatten out and fix his hat hair. I smile at him as I reach up and push the hair behind his ear, then playfully tugging on his ear earning me a smirk from him. I leave him alone as we stand with Father Mark as he starts the service.
Coming to church with Weston has become one of my favorite things. When we're alone it's simply beautiful. Obviously we don't talk much, but just worshiping the Lord together is one of the best feelings in the world. We hold hands throughout the whole service and grow together as a couple as we listen to Father preach about the love of Jesus Christ.
