The Kings Conquered by Moses

(Joshua 12:1-6)

1 These are the kings of the land whom the children of Israel defeated, taking possession of their territory on the east side of the Jordan, from the Arnon River to Mount Hermon, and all the eastern plains:

2 Sihon, king of the Amorites, who resided in Heshbon, and reigned from Aroer on the bank of the Arnon River, through the middle of the valley, and over half of Gilead, up to the Jabbok River, the boundary of the Ammonites;

3 And from the plains to the Sea of Chinneroth in the east, to the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea in the east, along the route to Beth-jeshimoth; and from the southern area below the slopes of Pisgah:

4 And the territory of Og, king of Bashan, one of the last of the Rephaim, who lived in Ashtaroth and Edrei,

5 He reigned over Mount Hermon, Salcah, and all of Bashan, up to the borders of the Geshurites and Maachathites, and over half of Gilead, which bordered the lands of Sihon, king of Heshbon.

6 Moses, the servant of the Lord, and the Israelites defeated them. Moses, the servant of the Lord, then granted their land as a possession to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh.
