DREW'S POV
"What made you forgive Mikey?" I asked."Chance talked me into it. And I agree. It's going to be an easier six weeks if we all just get along." She said.
"Okay. But you know if he says anything stupid to you again, Kyle and I got your back." I said.
"I know." She said.
"Come on, Soph. Smile!" I said.
She faked one.
"What's the matter?" I asked.
"Sometimes I lose my smile." She said.
"What? How's that possible?" I asked.
"Certain situations affect my mood. Like I wanted to forgive Mikey cause I don't like holding grudges, but I don't know if he's just going to forget about my forgiveness." She explained.
"So you're worried?" I asked.
She nodded her head.
"It's okay." I said holding her.
"But I'm doing better than how I used to be." She said.
"How were you before?" I asked.
"I lost my smile for about a year and a half after the accidents. I didn't start smiling again until I joined cheer." She said.
"How'd you do dance?" I asked.
"I mostly got solos. All of them were dark and told the story of the accidents." She said.
"Aw Soph." I said.
"I lost it again when my grandma died. I barely smiled until I left South Carolina." She said.
"I couldn't imagine not smiling for that long." I said.
"Cause you're a naturally happy person." She said.
"And you're not?" I asked.
"Kyle and I both battle with depression. It's not as easy as you think." She said.
"I'll help you. I'll help you battle it. But most importantly, I'll help you get your smile back." I said.
