"ARI, ARI! COME LOOK WHAT I FOUND!" Ariana's sister, Sophie shouted running into the basement, while Ariana was stacking boxes.
"What Soph? I'm kinda busy,"
"I found mums old diary, we can finally figure out who our father is! We can invite him to my wedding, of course, we'd have to find out where he lives, if he coul-"
Ari cut Sophie off, "okay stop rambling, breath. Soph, do you think mum would agree with this? She raised us without a father and did a pretty good job, why all of a sudden should he come into our lives?"
"Do you ever feel like a part of you is missing? That may be finding out who our dad really is could fill in the missing piece?" Sophie sighed.
"I think mum did a fine job of raising us, I just feel like bringing him back would only bring heartbreak for mum again. Just think about this alright?"
"Okay, okay, I will." Smiled Sophie.
Ariana continued to stack the boxes until she was done. As she walked through her mother's hotel, the place she grew up in, she found her mother cleaning the yard.
"Hey, mum," Ariana greeted.
"Morning sweetie, how are you?" Donna replied,
"Good, good, I was wondering if I could ask you something?"
"Of course, anything."
"I was wondering if you could tell me about mine and Sophie's father?" Ariana asked gingerly.
Donna tensed, "what's brought this up all of a sudden?"
"Just wanted to know," Ariana smiled sadly.
"We met in the summer, he was, gosh he was everything I could have asked for, we spent the whole summer having fun and just being ourselves. Until one day he left, unknowingly leaving me with my two beautiful girls." Donna looked lovingly at her daughter,
Ariana never minded she didn't have a dad like the other kids did, her mother raised her and Sophie. Ari knew how much strength and love it took for a single parent to raise her and her sister. Unlike Sophie, she didn't feel as though she needed a father in her life especially since she'd never had one in the first place.
