PART THIRTEEN!

WALKING THROUGHOUT THE BEAUTIFUL GREEK HOTEL, Ari reflected on the times growing up here. Her childhood surrounded by the ocean blues and the Greek culture.

Ari did as her mother instructed her, doing the final preparations for her sisters dream wedding. Grabbing a light bulb, she stood on a chair, hanging up lights around the reception area.

"Hey stranger," a voice behind Ariana startled her. "Shawn." Ari breathed, not believing who she saw infront of her.

Before her stood Shawn Harrison, her childhood best friend, her first love.

Running around the hotel, a young blond girl and a sandy hair boy chased each other across the paths, passing by workers and residents who chuckled at the children before them.

They both ran throughout the small island, when finally they came to a small patch of land full of trees and nature. Both children exhausted from their play fell on to the grass with laughter.

The small blond looked at the boy beside her, "we're going to be best friends forever, right Shawnie?"

The young boy held out is pinkie to the girl, to which she returned, "forever Ari."

Ariana shook her head, trying not to reflect back on times that caused her heart to ache.

"Hello Shawn," Ari turned back to her work.

"What, no hug?" Shawn smiled, while Ari got down from the chair and brushed pass the man infront of her.
"Ari, I know you're mad at me, I understan-" the girl cut him off.

"No! No, you do not understand, you don't one bit. You left, without a goodbye, nothing! Did you not think for one moment how that made me feel? I felt as though as I did something wrong, like i'd been kicked to the curb. I cried for weeks, wanting my best friend back, but as the day, weeks and months turned into years, well I kind of guessed you'd forgotten about me." Ari cried, "so don't you dare think that you can come back here and think everything's going to be okay? Because it's definitely not!"

Waking up, a 17 year old Ariana rushed down to greet Shawn. Only to see her mother outside putting up the dirty laundry.

"Hey mum!" Ari greeted Donna with a smile, "hey sweetie, how are you this morning?" She asked her daughter with a sad smile.

"Fine, why?" Ari asked confused, when Sophie rushed over to her sister and hugged her tightly. "I'm so sorry Ari, I know how much you'll miss him."

"Miss who? What's going on?" Ari questioned, while Sophie and Donna looked at each other.

"Honey, Shawn left, did he not tell you?"

"Left? Left where? I don't understand?"

"He went to America Ari," Sophie told her sister lightly, seeing Ari becoming distressed, trying to pull her into a hug.

"No, no, he didn't even say goodbye." Ariana pulled herself out of her sisters grip and rushed towards her room, slamming the door behind her while burying her face into the pillow, with loud sobs escaping her lips.

"I-I know, I should have said goodbye but-" Shawn started.

"Yeah, you should have." With that Ari turned around and decided to go and change for the wedding hoping that the situation would soon be over with.

Looking in her mirror, Ari sighed.

'So one last time
I need to be the one who takes you home. One more time,
I promise after that, I'll let you go.
Baby I don't care if you got her in your heart, all I really care is you wake up in my arms. One last time
I need to be the one who takes you home.'

A/N
