PART EIGHT!

AS THE NIGHT DREW NEARER, Sophie's hen night began. Though Ari was excited for her sister to be married, she was never much of a party animal, Ariana's perfect Friday night would be laying in bed with a good book and eating ice cream, not partying. But Ari would make an exception after all her twin sister was getting married.

Since Sophie had invited the 3 men, one of which would turn out to be her and Sophie's dad. She couldn't help but start wondering what life would have been like with a father in her life. Ari had never been one to dwell on the fact that she and her sister didn't have a father growing up because meaning she never had one meant she never knew what she was missing.

But now, that they were here, Ari finally knew what Sophie had been going on for all these years. The three men acted kind and warm towards the two girls, and Ari finally saw what Sophie meant when saying she felt a part of her was missing. A fathers love.

The hen night started and girls were dancing and singing their hearts out; just generally having a good time. When Donna, Rosie and Tanya appeared on the stay, calling themselves Donna and the dynamos. Sophie and Ariana turned to each other with an expression of shock and amusement on their faces while watching their mother and her friends sing.

After the song, they had performed, Rosie spotted the three men in the back, watchingOh oh! Hen night! Women only!" Rosie shouted over to them.

After they bid their apologies and goodbyes, the men turned to the bar with Ari hot on their tail, who eventually caught up with Sam.

"It used to be a quiet island this," Sam said turning to the blond girl."So are you regretting staying away so long?" Ari questioned.

"No, I'm regretting I never knew what was here."

"What?"

"This place. The Taverna. I always meant to build it someday, you know, but she beat me to it," Sam told Ari, sighing.

"Tell me something about my mum."
"Your ma? Well, your mum was irresistible. She was a one-off, you know. Oh, we talked, we fought, we... well, I'll tell you something, it was me who brought her here." Sam smiled lightly, remembering the times when he and Donna use to come to the island.

"And that wasn't the only thing you did, was it?" Ari muttered under her breath,

"What's she told you?"

"Nothing! She's never mentioned you." Ari rushed,

"Oh, no no no. Sophie said your mum never stops talking about her friends from the old days. What's going on, Ariana? Why am I here?"

"For Sophie's wedding! That's why everyone's here. For you to see my mum again, just like we've already told you!" Exclaimed Ari, trying to get him to believe her.

"Your mother doesn't want to see me, I've already had that made very clear to me."

"Well maybe, if you hadn't of left her, she might want to see you!" As soon as the words came out of Ari's mouth, her eyes widened and she covered her mouth. "I should not have said that, crap." She muttered to herself once again.

"I wouldn't have left her, but I was getting married, I had a job to go to. I know I caused your mother pain, but I never did it purposely." Sam told Ari softly,

"Your job was to stay," Ari smiled sadly at Sam, she turned and walked away as Sam looked shocked for words.

While going back to the party, Ari ran into Sophie, who looked panicked and rushed.
"Right you talk to Harry, i'll talk to Bill. Go!" With that, Sophie ran off leaving Ari completely and utterly confused.

"Talk to Harry? Jesus Christ, my life is messed up, three bloody men she invited, three! Could have just asked one but no!" Ari muttered to herself, while trying to find Harry in the bar.

She found him sitting at the bar, sipping his drink, Ari sat next to him and smiled. "Fancy, Donna with her grown up daughters." Harry told the young girl,

"Have you got any children, Harry?" She asked, curiously.

"No. I haven't put myself in the path of paternity." He replied,

"It's never too late!" Ari told him, hopefully as Harry didn't look so sure.

"Is your dad here?" Harry asked suddenly, Ariana cringed, knowing the question was bound to come up sooner or later.

"I don't know where my dad is," Ari smiled sadly, not enjoying say the words that came out her mouth.
