Brooke's POV

Cole had me take Colby upstairs for a nap, which really met he wanted To be alone with Anton.
I felt bad, I really did.
He went off in search of his mate, and came back to find out his sister had been dead for 3 years.
I laid Colby down without a fuss.
I slowly walked back downstairs.
"So she has no clue?" Anton asked.
"No. not that I know of." cole responded.
"She's been really delirious. you would expect her to be mourning or depressed but she's somewhat angry or cheerful. the pack doctor said it's somewhat normal."
I finished walking down the stairs and asked." what you guys talking about?"
The guys exchanged a look. "nothing. just guys stuff."
I nodded," keep it pg."
Anton laughed and cole smiled.
I sat down next to cole who had pulled me over to his lap.
I zoned out during there conversation until Colby's cries were heard.
"I got it cole." I said as I stood.
Cole shook his head," no, you stay here I got it. You're now officially in bedrest."
I groaned, "cole! you can't do this!"
He laughed,"Unless you sit down I can."
I huffed and sat down, Cole smiling and getting up.
"Asshole." I murmured.
"I heard that." He shouted back.
Victoria and Anton just sat there laughing.
"That's just cold. Next time you get in trouble Victoria Imma laugh and not help."
She smiled," sorry, I can't help. it's against the 'rules'."
I sighed."dammit."
Cole shouted," stop cursing."
I sighed," curse his damn good hearing."
Cole walked down the stairs with Colby on his hip. "if you keep cursing you will be on bed rest or the next 2-3 months."
I sighed," meanie."
He laughed," you're so childish."
"Well I can't curse so fudge off."
He smiled and sat down, Colby being placed on the floor.
"I love you."
"Shut up." I murmured.
He pulled me on his lap and I stood up and walked away, in the background you could here Anton laughing.
I walked up the stairs and sat in the room.
I decided to pack and overnight bag for heather's.
I called Heather," hey Heather, is it okay if I stay over at your place for a bit? Coles being an asshole and I'm getting angry."
You could tell heather was smiling when she said this," Mr. perfect alpha made a boo boo? Of course, I, your best friend, need to pick up the pieces. you can come over. You're always welcome."
I smiled and said goodbye then finished packing up my bag.
I put the bag over my shoulder and walked down the stairs and towards the front door.
I wasn't unnoticed though," Brooke, were you going baby?"
I turned my head," away. have fun with Anton and Victoria. you can keep Colby here until you learn how to stop being an asshole."
Cole frowned and spun me completely around.
"Please don't go, I'll eat you up I love you so."
I glared," if only you weren't such an ass. I'm going to be staying with heather for a bit. see you when you learn learn to stop being and asshole." I turned around, grabbed my car keys, and slammed the door shut.
I drove to heather's going from angry to sad, to happy. stupid pregnancy hormones.

Heathers POV.
My phone rang.
"Hello Mr. Slay."I said in a bored tone.
"Hey babe, what you doing?" he asked sweetly.
His sweetness made me sick.
"Nothing really. why?"
"Imma pick you up at 7. be ready and dress nice. you're gonna be surprised."he said then hung up.
I went back to watching tv, when my phone went off again.
It was Brooke.
" hey heather. is it okay if I stay over at your place for a bit? Coles being an asshole and I'm getting angry " she asked.
" mr perfect alpha made a boo boo? of course, I, your best friend, need to pick up the pieces. you can come over. You're always welcome." I smiled when I finished.
I said goodbye and hung up.
Brooke got at my house at about 6:43.
I smiled when she walked in.
"Hey Brooke is it okay if you stay here by yourself for a little bit?"
Brooke nodded and I walked to my room and changed into more presentable clothing. I put on a nude skin tight dress with black lace over it. I put on black pumps as well. Apparently sweat pants and a hoody isn't good enough.
Cameron got there right at 7.
We got in the car and drove to a fancy restaurant.
He pulled into the parking lot and opened his door and walked over to mine and opened it.
He locked his hands with mine and we walked inside.
"Mr. slay." Cameron said to the host.
We were seated almost instantly.
"Perks of being a beta." Cameron said with a smile, which meant this is probably a werewolf owned restaurants.
I laughed," of course. you take me to a fancy restaurant, but use your beta title. Common Cameron."
When we sat down Cameron ordered champagne.
"I hear its the best of the best," he said with a smile.
I nodded and picked up my menu.
The waiter came back with our glasses and the bottle of champagne.
The lights went out and I grabbed Cameron's hand.
When the lights came back on Cameron was on one knee with a 14 carrot diamond ring. The diamonds had been arranged in a infinite symbol.
"Heather, ever since day one I've been head over heels for you. I remember when I first saw you I ran into a freaking wall. When I first found out we were mates I was so happy, I had came up with a plan to reject my mate if she wasn't you.
I remember that I said, when we were on the football field and trey was flirting with you,'always mine and only mine.' you responded,'always Cameron, always.'
You've changed my life completely and in the good way.
We tried to start our own family but failed, but next time I don't want you to be Heather Scarlet Torres, I want you to be Heather Scarlet Slay.
Heather Scarlet Torres, will you do me the honors by being my wife?"
I felt the tears trickling down the corners of my eyes, and everyone knows it takes a lot to make me cry.
"Yes, Cameron, it would be my honor."
The rest of the people in the room started clapping, I had completely forgotten they were here.
Cameron slipped the ring on my finger and picked me up and showered me in kisses.
"I love you, princess." He whispered.
"I love you more Cameron." I responded.

Sorry for not updating recently! I've been busy with a summer job!
