Relatives and Relationships [ON HOLD]

Found Him...

A/N: so not much to say just informing you that these are basically the boring chapters but they are all semi-important to the story.

We were up late searching. I didn't see much that was worth clicking, so I scrolled past a lot of boring stuff.

"Why don't we check the 'news' tab?" Elias suggested. "There's got to be something.

"Ok, let's see the news. There must be a reason why he's so dangerous." I agreed. I opened the news tab on google and clicked on the first thing I saw: Elizabeth and Yuri Ranson died in the basement of an abandoned house. Then I heard the song in the background.

"Ayo Ladies and Gentlemen!" I sang along while Elias looks at me like I'm crazy. " 준비가 됐다면 부를게 yeah," I continued, then laughed at Elias's confused expression.

"You can sing in Korean?" He looked at me like he was seeing me differently, which I had to laugh at. Then I shrugged.

"Only two or three songs. GOT7 and BTS Forever (she gets that from her creator xD), you should know this, last time you were here, I basically tortured you with K-pop," I reminded him, "Though I wouldn't call it torture." I added under my breath. He shuddered at the memory.

"Right. Yep, remember now. Continuing, please." he said, his voice like 3 octaves higher than its usual tone. I laughed and turned back to the screen.

"How many Ransons can there be in this world? This has to be it." I addressed the screen, not sure if I was trying to reassure him or myself. I scrolled down. So it turns out, there are A LOT of Ransons in the world. By that I mean there were many murders in that basement, three of them with the surname Ranson. Only couples were murdered though, never only one person. SO three Ransons were murdered there, how helpful. I clicked the second one and scrolled down. I looked at Elias and saw him looking intently at the screen, then his face turned pale. 

"What is it?" I asked him. I wasn't sure he heard me. He made this noise similar to a cat dying (not that I would know what that sounds like) and looked at me, then the screen again. 

"Please say his explanation wasn't anything to do with 'too much' or 'a lot'?"

"Yeah... It was 'a lot'. Why?"

"Read the third paragraph." He ordered. I obeyed.

'The Ransons had a son, young, aged 14 years. Disappeared after his parents' murder, believed to have killed murderer responsible for their passing. This young Anthony must have gone through a lot. Still not found to this day.' Then I looked at the date: 18 years ago. I shook my head and pointed to what I was reading. "Maybe 'a lot' means more than one thing?" Elias said hopefully.

"I don't know. Maybe." As far as I was concerned, everything was possible in this world now. I became aware of a spider at the edge of my desk and stood very still, breathing slowly or not at all.

"What? What's wrong?" Elias asked, sounding panicked at my expression. I was dead scared of spiders. He followed my gaze and laughed.

"Seriously? You scared me!" I tried to identify the number, out of habit. I can't tell how dangerous animals or insects etc. are, they don't think the same as humans, it's different. As the spider scurried out my open window, I got something. I turned to look at Elias with fear in my eyes.

"'A lot'. 10."

And that's the last update for today! I hope you like cliffhangers! Yes, I know I'm evil, but you'll only have to wait one day or so. Well, until tomorrow then.
