Chapter 3: Not just supernatural kids

Hey guys! So this book is still in editing just to let you guys know! I wrote some of this in 2016, some of this is new. I just finally got the courage to put it on this site! I wanna thanks Ember_In_The_Ashes for the shoutout!

"So where does she want us to be?" John asked Hazel as we walk through the deep woods. It's dark now and we can't see without our flashlights we happen to pack.

"Right here" she said stopping.

"This is where they'll be." She said looking around her slowly.

"So, should we watch out for them?" John whispered. She nodded and we were back on back in a triangle watching for, I don't even know who but for someone. As I watch quietly, I notice little movement. It was like one step after another, very slowly. Then there were more shadows. Me and John grabbed one of Hazel's hands each.

"PPAASSWWWOORRDDD" it/they whispered.

"True Friends" Hazel said loudly.

One figure walked out of the dark. It was a male, with short black hair, green eyes, he had a black bullnose ring and 2 gauges in each ear. I was surprised at so many teenagers that came out of the dark. All of them had crazy colored hair, some type of piercings, and dark clothing.

"Who sent you?" he asked me.

"Erin Saint. We're trying to find her brother, she told us to come check here and wait for her." I explained. He nodded while looking at Hazel.

"Miss me?" she asked smiling.

"The one and only Hazel." He smiled.

"How are you Andy?" she asked hugging him. Teens hugged her and ruffled her pink hair.

"I've been better. So Erin? Ashton's sister, right?" he asked shy like.

"Yeah, you know her?" John asked smirking.

"No, I've been friends with her brother for 11 years. Satan's friend." He said sticking his tongue out.

"Ok, Ashton? Is he here?" Hazel asked. Andy shook his head and looked at the trees behind us.

"Nope, haven't been here for days. He said something about finding his sister but he never came back." He stated.

"And he never answers call!" A girl shouts from the back.

"Or emails!" Another shouts.

"Or telekinesis brain calls!" another shouts. We look around, there were a lot of teenagers. From ages of 13 to 19. Every one of them looked homeless.

"Miss me?" Erin shouts running with a shadow behind her. Every one shouts and cheers. The shadow was her brother Ashton. He was perfect. He had short red hair in a fringe hairstyle, a medium size black gauge in both ears, a nose ring. He was tall with blue eyes. They weren't just blue; they were like clear ocean blue. His smile was white and bright.

"Ashton, this is John, Hazel, and Miles." Erin said pointing to each of us. He shook our hands but when he touched mine, it was amazing. Like when a puzzle piece meets its perfect match and they fit into each other like perfect. We apart quite fast.

"Do you think there's somewhere we can take them?" Erin asked Andy. They were face to face and she whispered it in front of his lips.

"Of course." He teases her and turns away, showing us a small cave.

"It never used, I keep it clean just in case." Ashton said mentioning the cave.

"Okay, so Ashton, dad took Hazel's sister, Miles sister, John sister, Miles best friend, cousin and I just found out, his grandparents as well. Sorry Miles, I should have told you before this. Anyway, we have to find Mrs. Davis. Remember her?" She asked. He nods, looking at me with pity.

"Yeah, anyway." She said quietly.

"So we have to figure out where she is?" Ashton asked.

"Yeah, the last time any one of us saw her was at her husband's funeral." Erin said looking from her brother; who was still staring at me, too well, me.

"Ok, so, Mrs. Davis was last located in New York. 12 days ago, they found a short surveillance video of her leaving her hotel with no bags or anything like that; but she never came back for any of it. Neither has her door been opened or touched by anyone but the maids." Erin said showing us the short video and the location it was filmed at. The video was 2:48 long. Not long enough for a lot of evidence.

"So Miles is our super nerdy tech guy. He's going to go over the footage, e-mail, etc. Ashton, you're going to assist him with anything and everything. Help him and John. John you're going to be working on plane tickets and short cuts for our little trip. Hazel you're going to be with me and Andy, we're going to gather up supplies and teens. We might have an army if this goes to war. Everyone got their positions?" Erin asked. We nod but John speaks up.

"What do you mean by- "

"Good! Have fun and work!" she cuts him off. John sucked in a deep breath and looks at me and Ashton with nervousness.

"Are we really going to go to war?" he asked quietly.

"Probably, but it's for the lost ones, and our sisters." I tell him before grabbing the computer and taking the floor by the darkest corner.

John and Ashton talk loudly about plane tickets and shortcuts. While Erin, Andy, and Hazel haven't returned. It's been 3 hours, no phone calls, text, e-mails, or even person users. They haven't been seen by anyone.

"WHY CAN'T WE TAKE THIS ROUTE??" John yells. Before Ashton say's anything, noises come from my mouth.

"WILL YOU TWO QUIT IT ALREADY?? YOU'VE BEEN FIGHTING AND TALKING ABOUT THE SAME ROUTE FOR HOURS!!!" I yell. They're both startled by my outbursts. Ashton smirks and comes toward me.

"What's up nerd. What's going on in the techy brain of yours?" he asked, as he tapped my temple, his deep voice was smooth.

"Nothing." I say annoyed. He chuckles softly and sits closely to me. I re-watch the video but this time, I see someone in the far left corner. He's waiting, waiting for something or someone. I watch closely. He gets in his car, she leaves the front desk, gets off the screen side but then his car leaves. The video stops and I'm left thinking in silence.

"You saw the man too?" he whispers.

I nod, "Yeah, do you think he took her?" I ask quietly.

"Maybe, can you re-dilate it?" he asked shifting his body even closer to mine. I can feel his body heat and my cheeks turn red.

"Yes, of course. It should only take a few minutes." I say before doing my code work.

Hazel, red-cheeked Erin and Andy ran to us in the cave. I look at Ashton who's smiling a bright smile at his sister who only rolls her eyes back to him.

"So, we got like 80% of the teens to help, we found supplies, and even this. Miles can you tell us what this weird thing is?" she asked completely confused. It was a small rectangle like box. It had my name on it carved into the wooden texture. She handed it to me and the wooden surface was soft and brown.

"I don't know; I'll figure this out later. "I tell them. Their curiosity showing hardens into anger.

"Is there something we don't know?" Erin asked walking closer to me.

"Yeah, so in the video; before Mrs. Davis leaves, this man stays until she walks out of view. See, he leaves and she doesn't come back." I explain to them.

"Ok, John, what do you have?" she asked turning away from me. Andy and Hazel completely focused on him. Ashton squeezes my shoulder.

"Nice catch. No one interrupts her perfect angry side." Ashton saw's in a whisper by me ear. He walks to John, leaving me to shiver.
