Opening the front door of the apartment, Emily was hit by a strong smell coming from the kitchen.
"Ally." She called looking worriedly at the oven in front of her.
Ally suddenly rushed out of her room and into the kitchen murmuring "fuck fuck fuck" under her breath as she opened the oven door.
"What is that?" Emily asked.
"Meat without feet."
Emily looked at Ally, who was holding a dark burnt piece of something. "Is that your way to call fish?" she laughed.
"Chloe was the one who actually knew how to cook." she said as she threw the poorly cooked fish away. "this sucks."
"More like this smells." the younger girl said earning a glare from the other woman.
She walked over the kitchen's window and opened it. Ally proceeded to walk out of the kitchen and let her body hit the couch on the living room.
"You don't look very well." Emily said in concern.
She was right, Ally was paler than usual, there was a red shadow around her shiny eyes and she looked exhausted.
"Well thank you." Ally scoffed.
The younger girl rolled her eyes before walking into the bathroom. "Are you drinking water?" she asked from inside the bathroom.
Ally hummed in response.
"When was the last time you drank a proper glass of water?"
Ally watched as Emily got on her knees a held a thermometer between her fingers.
"I don't know." She said as she opened her mouth so Emily could put the thermometer in. "At lunch?"
The younger girl quirked and eyebrow at her, not buying it.
"Yesterday's lunch." Ally sighed.
Emily's jaw dropped. "That is not okay."
The girls heard Emily's phone ring, the younger girl took her phone out of her jeans and accepted the call.
"The body is supposed to be 70% water." She said as she accepted the call. "Once I'm done with you, yours will be 100% water.""what the hell?" Stacie asked once Emily pressed the phone against her ear.
"Oh hi Stace."
"Yeah, Hi Em. What the hell?" the dark haired woman asked again. "what's with you, water and bodies?"
Emily heard Aubrey's short laugh from the other line.
"Ally." She said rolling her eyes.
"Why? is she sick?" Emily could hear Aubrey asking questions to Chloe. "Ally." the Stacie hushed her girlfriend.
"Something's up, Stace?" Emily asked as she took the thermometer out of Ally's mouth.
"Do you think you can manage to get a flight for today?" Stacie wondered.
Chloe was dying inside, she knew Beca was too but she was trying her hardest to keep it to herself.
They were currently waiting for Beca's mother to get out of surgery, it's been almost ten hours since the procedure started and Beca's nerves were close to kill her.
The brunette felt a comforting hand on her tight.
"It's going to be okay, Bec." Chloe reassured her.
"What are the odds."
Chloe saw the way Beca was looking at her, her girlfriend was terrified.
The red head sighed. "This could be the first surgery that is done-"
