"Shut up."
The whine continued to bother the small DJ's ears who couldn't be bothered.
"Fine." She said.
Throwing the blankets out of her way Beca forced herself to leave her bed in order to shut the dog's cries up.
As soon as the four legged buddy heard the chain he began to bark.
"i don't like you."
Once they were on the street the dog looked with a thankful expression to her owner as he peed the gallons of waste he had been saving the whole night.
Looking at the time on her phone she cursed to her insides seeing how early it was and how she could still be in bed feeling sorry for herself. But she wasn't.
"C'mon Taz." The brunette said trying to make the dog walk with her.
Since she was already out of her house she figured she could give the dog a surprise and actually walk him around for once, maybe even take him to the park. So they walked, the early sun was shining and thankfully the streets weren't too crowded. They walked past buildings, stores, cafes.
Today was an off day. You know when one wakes up and their will to live is just not there? like everything feels too much? An off day, and she hoped the walk would help a bit at least.
"Is that...?" Her eyes suddenly landed in a familiar face. It was Ally, she was in her running clothes but the only thing she was moving was her mouth on some other girl's mouth.
A sheepish smile grew on Beca's face. "Look at our girl, buddy." she said squating next to the dog to scratch behind his ear. "Let's go make her uncomfortable."
The brunette unchained Taz and the dog immediately recognized his other owner. Beca was trying to hold her laugh as she watched the dog break the couple's kiss apart.
"What the-" Ally said once on the floor. "Hey I know you." She said grabbing the dog's face.
The other girl got on her knees to scratch the dog's head, who was more than pleased to be scratched.
"Well look who's here." Beca said giving a small wink to Ally.
"You two know each other?" The girl asked with a smile.
Ally got on her feet and took the chain out of Beca's hands. "Yeah." She said chaining Taz once again.
"I'm her wife." Beca said as she bit the inside of her mouth trying not to laugh at the girls confused expression.
"She's not." Ally said rolling her eyes, violently putting the chain on Beca's chest. "She's Beca. The friend i told you about."
"Ooh, you warned me about this one." The girl laughed making Beca raise an eyebrow at Ally, who stook her tongue out. "I'm Julia."
The brunette just then noticed the girl's strong Spanish accent, or at least she thought it was spanish.
"I'll go take this guy to the park." Beca said before things got awkward. "It was nice to crash the dog into you guys. See you at home Al."
"Get lost, sucker." Ally replied making Beca laugh.
They finally made it to the park, the morning sun was getting stronger. The bright green grass could almost burn Beca's eyes. She sat against a tree, feeling her legs give out.
She knew she hasn't been exercising much lately, or moving at all. Taz laid his head on her lap closing his eyes every time Beca's fingers moved past his eyes. There was a group of teenage girls a few feet away from them but she could still hear their laughs.
