A month later Louis is stuffing his face with burgers that Harry made. Louis is looking on his phone for an apartment. Harry is sitting next to him doing the same thing.

"What about this one?" Harry's asks, "it's got two bedrooms, it's in the middle of town, 20 minutes away from my sister and 10 minutes away from your family. I mean it's a little shit but we can repaint the walls? And maybe stain the cabinets."

"Hm," Louis says taking Harry's phone, "it doesn't look bad, haz. I kinda like it, why don't we call tomorrow to see when we can look at it, Yeah?"

Harry nods and Louis give Harry his phone back after sending himself the link.

Suddenly there's a knock on the door. Harry looks at Louis, "did you invite anyone over tonight?"

Louis shakes his head and stands up to open the door.

"Uh, who are you?" Harry hears Louis say. Harry stands up in concern once he hears and aggressive grunt asking for Harry.

"Dad?" Harry questions, "what the fuck are you doing here?"

"Don't speak that way to me Harry." He growls, walking into the apartment.

"What are you doing here?" Harry asks again. His heart is racing and he is scared because his father is in front of him and he hasn't seen his father in months.

"You need to come home, Harry. Your mom is going crazy and the church has deemed me unfit as a pastor." Harry's dad growls, "it's all because of you. Because you decided to be gay and you left."

"You need to get out of my house." Louis says, "if you don't leave I'm calling the police."

"I won't leave without Harry." He growls grabbing Harry's upper arm tightly. He digs his nails into Harrys back where he knows the scars are.

"Stop it!" Harry yelps, "dad, stop! You're hurting me."

Harry's dad slaps him in the face with his other hand while saying, "don't be such a wimp. Fucking fag."

Louis doesn't waste time before punching the man in the face hard enough to knock him out. Harry hugs Louis tightly while Louis calls the police to explain the situation to them.

The police come and take Harry's dad out of the house and to the station, one police officer stays in order to get a statement from both Louis and Harry.

"Alright from what I have here he should get about a year in jail from breaking and entering and minor child abuse." The officer says, "with that you would not have to go to court or sign off on anything. You could get a protective order on him with no problem as well but for that you would have to go to court. I can get that started if you want?"

Harry shakes his head. "No, no I don't need a restraining order against him."

Louis looks at him in concern, "uh, we might get back to you on that, officer."

The man nods and gives Louis a card, "here's how you can contact me."

Louis nods and shows the police officer out the door before going back to the couch to sit next to Harry.

"Why won't you get a restraining order, Haz?" Louis asks him, hugging harry and pulling him into his shoulder.

"I- it's too much, he doesn't, I don't know. He didn't do anything that could have killed me? And it's not like I will see him after this right? He will be in jail for a year and by then I will be gone." Harry says, "I don't want to go to court and see him again- it's too much."

Louis nods, "if that's what you want Harry."

Harry grabs Louis right hand and runs his thumb along his knuckles where Louis punched Harry's dad.

"Thank you for everything you did tonight, Lou." Harry says quietly with a sob, "I'm sorry I couldn't stand up for myself."

"Haz," Louis whispers, "you did nothing wrong. You did stand up for yourself by talking to the police."

Harry nods and just cry's into Louis shoulder. Louis just pulls him closer and kisses his hairline.

"I'm sorry he did what?" Cara screeches into the phone.

Louis sighs into Harrys phone. Cara had called Harry to ask if they could hang tomorrow. Harry fell asleep so Louis answered the phone to explain the situation to her.

"He, like grabbed Harry's arm and slapped his face. He has a bruise on his arm and his cheek is still red." Louis says with a sigh, "I wanted to beat the shit out of him, but I knew Harry wouldn't like that. I called the police after that."

"What did the police do?"

"He's only getting a year in jail." Louis says bitterly, "they asked if Harry wanted a restraining order filed against him but Harry said no."

The conversation ends soon after that. Louis told Cara that he planned to stay home tomorrow with Harry.

Louis goes to the kitchen to put away the cold food that was left on the table. He tossed out half ate burgers and put beans in a container as leftovers.

Harry wakes up an hour later and sees Louis across from him on his phone. Harry groans and Louis looks up asking, "how do you feel?"

Harry shrugs, "I feel fine."

"Well I made some popcorn. I'm about to put on a movie. Do you have any requests?"

"Something funny." Harry says, "I think we need a laugh."

Louis nods and gets up to put The Internship into their DVD player. Once the movie starts Louis sits with Harry on the big couch. Harry laid in between Louis legs and set his head on the crook of Louis neck.

Halfway through the movie Louis started kissing Harry's neck slowly, making Harry giggle and shove him away lightly.

"Lou, I'm trying to watch the movie."

"We've seen it like ten times." Louis says nipping at Harry's earlobe.

Harry rolls his eyes and turns to Louis to give him a proper kiss. They snog in an awkward position for a while until Louis turns harry so his back is on the couch and Louis is on top of him.

"Hm." Harry moans quietly, "Lou."

"What do you want, haz?" Louis ask him, "what do you want me to do?"

"Want you to fuck me."

Authors Note: first of all I would like to say that I don't like writing smut (I can read it all day but writing in makes me awkward) also I am bottom!louis asf so I couldn't write it properly anyways bc I don't believe it lmao, top harry just didn't seem to fit with this plot and characterization so this is as far as it's gonna go smut wise. Anyways I love all of you guys ❤️ stay tuned for the next chapter. It's gonna end soon though because I can never stay interested enough to write long story's.
