۵Eudora's POV
I frowned, looking at my phone that contained numerous calls and texts from Clarissa.
She had been asking me about my knowledge of my miscarriage and who told me. But honestly, I had no motivation in my body to talk sweetly to her about it.
I loved Clarissa, really, but it wasn't right that Paris had to sneak around her back to tell me about it.
I scrolled down again, looking at some of the texts as I slid myself onto one of the tables. Paris was going to be out of one of her classes soon and I wouldn't have to be at home alone.
"Hi, stranger," I looked up to see Sage standing in front of me. "My mom's coming to here for the weekend, wanna come see her?"
"I thought she had to calm everybody down," I said, tilting my head in question. Sage shrugged, rocking on his heels for a moment before stopping and looking back up at me.
"I think some of the others have been helping her," he spoke, "and Cloud's working on investigating Ruby's death, so unless she stays to help, she's free for the weekend." I nodded at his explanation.
"If you don't bring her by the apartment, I shall hunt you down and kill you, " I spoke, changing my tone and accent at the end. Sage bursted into a fit of laughter and I smiled.
"What are you talking about?" Sage and I turned to see Paris behind us. Sage smiled and waved as I jumped off the table.
"My mom's coming here for the weekend!" Sage exclaimed and Paris laughed.
"You better bring her by the apartment, I haven't seen her in forever," Paris said, laughing and Sage shook his head.
"Nope, can't do it," he tried hard not to laugh but Paris started to and it made him fail. I looked down at my phone as it started to vibrate and saw that Clarissa was calling me again.
I held my phone towards Paris for her to stop laughing and frown. Sage glanced at the screen and raised an eyebrow. "Long story," I said, making him nod and lean back.
Paris grabbed the phone, declining the call and pushing it back into my hands. I frowned, looking at the device and tilting my head.
Paris began walking, pulling her bag tighter around her shoulders. I waved bye to Sage before following her.
۵Sage's POV
I laid upside down on the couch, my hair almost touching the floor as I held my phone out, texting my mom.
"You're going to kill your brain cells," Cloud said, laughing, and I smiled, looking up at him. He raised an eyebrow to me as I started maneuvering my body before I was sitting upright.
