**OMFG I REACHED 100 READS THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH**
Your POV
I couldn't take much more of the madness. Trying to pretend every day, making everyone think I was taking the pills from BLind every day like a good little girl. No. No more. This has to stop. I'm going to leave tonight.
You're probably wondering who I am, aren't you? Well, my name is (y/n) and I am done with this shit that Better Living Industries is putting us through. I'm going to take all of the stuff that I've been hiding, all of the CD's and photos and other things from my past life that have kept me sane as BLind slowly strips everything of its individuality.
*******************
It was nighttime now, and I had gathered everything I needed to survive for a few weeks: food, water, and music. I found my brightest colors of clothes hidden deep in the trunk at the foot of my bed, put them on, and sneaked right out the window. I had memorized the patrol patterns of the Draculoids, or Dracs, in my area, and knew that I had at least five minutes to get out of here. I wasn't without a plan, either. I was going to go find the so-called "Killjoys" that had their wanted posters all over the city.
They had immediately caught my attention when I saw them. I saw four posters, side by side, that said "WANTED" in big letters. The boys I saw on the posters were young, no more than seventeen I'd guess, and I was drawn to the brightly colored clothes they wore. When I saw those posters, I knew I wanted to be one of them.
So tonight I set out, and have been walking for about half an hour now, talking to you, the voices in my head. I might be insane, but that doesn't matter at this point. At least I haven't been brainwashed by BLind. Everyone nowadays is the same, and they aren't even above average in their sameness. BLind wanted everyone to be the same, and no one was allowed to have perfect grades, or clothes any different from the next person.
I, on the other hand, was a different story. I was a straight A student, frowned upon by all, but since I convinced everyone I was still taking my pills, no one could arrest me, no matter how different I was. I still did art and played music, in secret of course, for fear of being caught. But now I knew that I needed to be somewhere where it wouldn't be frowned upon to be different. I needed friends who would accept me for me, no matter how messed up that is.
Eventually I got tired, and I was considering stopping for the night, when I saw a roaring fire and heard laughter. This laughter seemed different than any I had heard recently though. It was, I don't know, wait....yes....it was real.
I went to the fire hurriedly, and saw exactly what I was hoping to see. Good luck for once, wow. The Killjoys sat around the fire, laughing and eating something out of cans. Was that Power Pup? Eww gross. We can't have that now can we?
"Hello! I come in peace and I brought food!" I yelled in their direction, hoping they would see my colorful clothes and not shoot.
They all turned around and the red-haired one pulled a ray gun on me. I put my hands in the air and said again, "I come in peace and I want to join you to escape BLind."
"Okay, that I can believe, but why should we trust that the food isn't poisoned?" the red-haired one asked.
"Because, pretty boy, I will eat it too."
"Don't call me pretty boy. Don't assume my gender. I happen to be gender fluid, and will accept the 'they' and 'them' pronouns. You got a problem with that?" They added the last part when they saw the surprised look on my face.
"Of course I don't have a problem with that, I'm off my meds idiot." I said to them.
"Are you now?" the short, dark-haired one asked.
"Yes, now do you want food or not, because I can just leave." With that they sat down and welcomed me.
A/N: I hope you like it killjoys, even though I don't think anyone will read it except the friends I force to. Also, in case you are wondering why I made Party Poison gender fluid, it's because Gerard Way said it himself. BYE
