That night, after the extra Killjoys had left, leaving just the seven of us, we had a quick dinner of Power Pup, which somehow tasted good for once, and then everyone went to bed, except for Party and I. We were sitting out in the main area of the diner in one of the booths, and I decided I needed answers now.

"Party," I began, "What did BLind do to you?"

"I'd rather not talk about it."

I decided to try a different approach. "I know they couldn't have done anything to you in four hours that would make you as jumpy as you are. There has to be some previous damage there. Have you been captured by BLind before?"

They looked down at their lap and sighed. "Yes. Early on, when we thought everything was going to blow over in a few weeks, we were being normal teenagers and rebelling against the current authority. We didn't think anything worse than detention would happen, but we did some graffiti that apparently offended BLind. We thought we would be fine, just some more detention, nothing new, but then Dracs came and took us away. They held us for a really long time, I don't even know how long, and they tortured us, both mentally and physically. We wanted nothing more than death, because we were just teenagers, and didn't even know real pain, but then a saviour came, and Dr. Death Defying rescued us. In return we became his army, and joined his other Killjoys, the giant group of individuals who were working for him to take down BLind agents in any way possible. And now, here we are."

I looked at them, saw the pain in their eyes, the trauma, and I had nothing I could say, no words to describe how bad I felt for them, so I just hugged them. I hugged them as hard as I could, I didn't let go, but leaned back slightly to look them in their eyes. "I won't ever let them touch you again. I promise." Then they kissed me. It wasn't a long kiss, but the emotion I could feel in it told me how much I meant to them.

That's when Jet walked in. "Woah, okay, sorry to disturb you guys."

"No, it's fine, Jet, really," Party said, laughing.

"Okay. I was wondering if you guys wanted to get some sleep? I can't sleep, so I thought I'd take the night watch, so you guys don't have to be paranoid."

Before Party could decline, I interrupted. "Thanks Jet!" I said before dragging Party to bed.

"Wow, you really wanted to sleep with me, didn't you (y/k/n)?" they teased.

"I'm not going to deny that," I said before kissing them again. "I also wanted to do a bit more of that." They smiled.

Party wrapped their arms around my waist and fell back on the bed, taking me with them. They pulled the blanket up and over us, pulling it tight around us, so I couldn't move away if I wanted to, which I didn't. At this point, I was lying on them, my face buried in their jacket. This. This is what heaven is like. Or Elysium, Valhalla, whatever you prefer.

"(y/n)?" they said.

"Yes, Party?"

"I think I love you."

"I know I love you."

They kissed me again, and this time it lasted much longer. When we finally parted our lips, I leaned back on their chest and fell asleep to the steady beat of their heart.

Party's POV

That's it. I'm in love. I have a weakness. BLind could have leverage on me. If they got her, I would tell them everything. All would be lost.

I looked at her. It's worth it, I realized. What's life without a little risk, eh?

She was really beautiful. Her (e/c) eyes, her purple ombre hair, the way her lips parted when she slept, her glowing smile. Everything about her was perfectly imperfect, and I loved every detail; the huggable curves of her body, the way her legs curved around and tangled with mine under the covers, the delicate way her arms wrapped around me. I tried to find something I didn't like about her, but I couldn't. Every quirk, every imperfection, everything most people would make fun of her for, was exactly what made her her, what made her human, and these were the reasons I love (y/n) (y/l/n).

A/n: Who thinks this should end soon, and who thinks it should keep going for a while?
