We went to the Dairy Queen and all got barbeque sandwiches and boy that was so good we all devoured it.
Dally pulled out a gun. "I've been carrying around a heater because of all the socs."
"Dally! You kill people with heaters!" Ponyboy said sitting next to Lexy in the back seat. I was sitting in the front next to dally and noticed that he wasn't wearing his ring.
"Hey Dally, where's your ring?"
"Oh." He smiled. "Check your pocket." I felt in my pocket his skull ring.
"Halle? Will you be my girl?" He said giving me puppy dog eyes.
"Of course." I said and lunged over my seat and the cupholders and hugged him. Then I gave him a big sloppy kiss.
"You guys are nasty." Ponyboy said.
"Hey, your one to talk. I saw you and Lexy making out the other day." Said Johnny.
Lexy's face went red. " Yeah. I can never un-see that." He said.
I laughed and looked at the ring on my finger. I couldn't believe that I was Dally's girl.
"Guys, we need to turn ourselves in. It's not fair that Darry and sodapop are worrying themselves to death. I'm the one that killed him the rest of them didn't have anything to do with it."
"What, no we will just hide out until this blows over some more."Dally said.
We drove back to the church and saw school buses and the church was on fire. I heard one of the teachers say that some of the kids were missing. I hopped out of the car and ran to find the kids.
"Halle, get back!" Dally yelled.

I ran and heard screaming. I kicked down some of the boards on the window and pony and Johnny helped me. I ran in and grabbed one of the kids. We got all of them out and I helped Ponyboy out . He tried to go back in to get Johnny but his arm was on fire. I got out and Dally put out the fire on his arm. We grabbed Johnny right as the board fell and hit both of his legs. They were on fire and I tried to put it out and my shirt caught on fire.
I could feel my skin burning as I tried to get it out. After about a minute I just ripped off my shirt and looked at my arm. The whole bottom half was burnt to a crisp. It looked so terrible that I passed out.
