Chapter 26

~Lexy's POV~
Halle never came home that night and she missed school the next day. "Where's Halle?" Steve said the next day when we were walking home from school.
"She's still with Dally. Probably sleepin off a hangover." I grinned.
"Wanna go over there?" Steve said
"Well it is Friday." I said and looked at pony
"No. Darry will kill me if I get close to that place."
"Come on pony." I begged
"Okay." He rolled his eyes we walked over to Bucks place taking our time.
We walked in to see Halle dragging Dallas onto the dance floor.
"Come on Dally dance with me!" She grabbed his arms and pulled.
"Nope"
"Please"
"Yeah no"
She turned and looked at the door.
"Hi guys" she let go of Dally's arms and came over to us.
"I thought you guys weren't allowed over here"
"I am, pony here isn't though." Steve said stepping towards her.
"Hey" pony slapped him in the arm.
I looked at Steve and he had a weird look in his eyes, like he was about to try something dangerous.
"Halle." He grabbed her hand
"Since Dal here won't dance with ya, I will."
Dally stood up with a red face and started to tell him off.
"Listen here you little son of a *****, you get your filthy little hands off of her."
"Okay we're done here."I said pulling Steve, Pony, and Johnny away. Halle decided to come with us, because Dally had that look in his eyes again.

"Well that was awkward." She said when we were almost home, we had walked in silence.
"Yeah" I said back
"Steve I swear if you pull something like that again, I'll kill you" she glared at him.
"Listen doll-"
"Don't call me doll."
"Ookayy" he rolled his eyes.
