From the future

chapter 13

"Lexy, Lexy get up." I heard Pony say.
"What?" I said groggily
"It's like 5 the rumble starts at sundown."
"So like 7?"
"Yeah, I guess."
"Ponyboy, you smell terrible, you need a shower."
"Ok, fine." He stomped into the bathroom and I heard the shower turn on.
I was a little bit worried about Halle and her arm. But she's tough, she'll be fine. In the the future I guess, I was thinking about my old home. Her family is very athletic and they are very rough with each other. I mean she punched a kid once, but I don't think that counts. I decided to call her in the hospital.
"Hello?"
"Hi, this is lexy I need to talk to a patient in room 503."
"Ok, one second" the cheery lady said.
"Hello?" I heard Halle say.
"Hi."
"Hi Lexy!"
"What's up?"
"Oh you know, me and dally are breaking out if here, here in a minute."
"Hey that's good"
"Yeah, well I gotta go Dally's calling me."
"Ok, good luck."
"K, bye." And she hung up
Ponyboy came out of the bathroom wearing some fresh clothes.
"You look good." I said
"Thanks. Hey the gang should be here in a minute. Do you need anything?"
"Nope."
Just then Soda, Darry, two bit and Steve came in hollering.
"We're gonna beat those socs!" Steve yelled.
Two bit was drinking and Darry went to his room.
" You guys ready?" I asked
"Heck, yeah baby." Two bit said stumbling up to me.
"Leave her alone two!" Pony yelled getting defensive.
"Pony, calm down." I laughed. " Hey when is dally getting here?" Sodapop said getting out of the shower.
~Halle's POV~
"Ready?" I asked
"Yup." Dally said and kissed my cheek. We started walking out when a nurse stopped us. "Where are you going?"
"We're leaving." Dally said.
"No, your not."
"Yes, we are."  I said and flipped out my switchblade.
"I was hoping I didn't have to use this." I said and pointed it at her.
"Just let us out it's been a week. We're fine."
"You know what, I don't care. Just leave." I put the blade away and me and dally walked out hand in hand. "When does the rumble start?" I asked.
"Nightfall." He said.
"Well we better hurry." We ran to the lot and Tim Sheppard and his gang we're already there.
"Hey dally."
"Hey Tim."
"Who's the broad you got there with ya?"
Dally's jaw clenched and I grabbed his hand.
"I'm his girlfriend thank you very much." I glared at him
I heard Steve and Two-bit yelling.
"Here they come." I said
"Soda!" I ran to him and gave him a big hug.
"Halle! I missed you!" His face fell when he saw my arm.
"Are you sure you should fight?"
"What? Yeah I'm fine." I hid my arm behind my back.
"Ok, if the cops show, you three need to book it back to the house." Darry said.
"What? I'm fine. Nobody cares about me." I laughed. "Not like they'll show anyway." Said Dally. I heard honking and saw mustangs pull up. "Here we go." I said. They all got out and walked over. "Hello Darry."
"Hello Paul."
Darry punched him in the face then everyone started kicking and punching. Some person hit me in the face and got on top of me. "You gonna cry, little girl?" I kneed him in the groin and he fell over. Then another one grabbed my hair. I grabbed my hair and turned around yanking it out of his hands. Then punched him in the face and broke his nose. I looked over at dally and there were three on him. I ran over and tackled one off of him. Then started hitting him. He started crying and I laughed. "You gonna cry?" I asked with a pouty lip. Another on pulled me off and started kicking me. I grabbed his leg and held on with all my might and he fell over. He got up and they all started running away and we all yelled happily. We all ran back jumping and yelling.
