The Power Inside

Zonno's Part 1

As we walked home together I listened to Therese's back story which is filled with awkward and different moments wherever she may go. It sounds like she was who I was before. I guess people can be quite different even if they had the same past. And on the other side of Therese was the boy. I leaned in and asked Therese who he was. She jumped up and said "Oh my gosh how could I have forgotten this is Derrick but I call him Der." "Well does Der ever talk?!" I asked. "Yes he does and he also knows that you are talking about him..." Der said nonchalantly. "Oooooooops well hello Der I'm -" cut off. "Janessa yes I know. Do you mind if I call you Jan? I think Janessa's too long" "Sure go right ahead there are many nicknames to come out of Janessa." I said enthusiastically ready for anyone or anything to see me and try to get to know me.

We finally made it to the house and they both stood awestruck and amazed I said "Yeah its kind of an upgrade from where I was before."All they could say was "you have a bouncy house, an in ground pool, and a 3 story house and we're just learning about it now!!!!!" "Well I did just meet you what 6-7 hours ago...anywho you want to meet Mike my ex-step-brother??""No you said you'd explain what you did but you're just making excuses and wasting time" "The fact is I don't know what happened I know it's happened before but the only person who could explain better than what little I know is Mike. I'm not trying to make excuses." Der jumped up and said "Then let's meet this magic Mike!"

I walked up to Mike's room but he wasn't there. I searched every room in the house but he wasn't there. I went outside but he still wasn't there. I called the cops and they said Mike never existed. I stood there baffled and asked for the cop I had talked to after my family died but he didn't exist either... "What do you mean nonexistent I was talking to Mike this morning and the cop was sooooo sweet after my parents died... where are they and what have you done with them?" "Ma'am you need to calm down and relax we are sending our unit out to come get you." "No no I'm fine" "Are you sure""Yeah I'm good" "OK well you have a good day then" "Yes sir you too" As I slammed the phone down Therese and Der were running wildly from the woods screaming some word but I couldn't hear it. As they approached the house I finally heard what they were saying it sounded like"ZONNO'S HELP!"
