The Date Part 2

   We walked out after he said he was sorry. And what was waiting for us... a Lamborghini. What is up with the people and being rich. But I guess now that I'm a Shuttler I'm rich too. After I did my own little victory dance in my head I said"Sweet ride!" He laughed and it was a beautiful laugh. "So where to?" He just shook his head"If I told you-" "What you'd have to kill me?" "No I was going to say if I told you it'd ruin the surprise but sure if I told you I'd have to kill you also...I guess. Just kidding. But get in the car and I'll show you where we are going." I hopped in his car while admiring it. We drove for what felt like hours(Im really not too good at being patient) and then we arrived at a ledge looking over a drop in a Forrest and it had a rail-road track on the left. The trees were so beautiful. I was amazed but I peeled away from the view to talk to Eric. But as I turned I noticed a table set up with candles and Italian food. Eric was walking over to me and he put an arm around my shoulder and walked with me over to the table. We sat down and my favorite Italian food was sitting there. Baked ziti. I love it so much. I tried to hold my composure around Eric though because he still thought I was normal. I was literally drooling over the food because I had only eaten my burger out of my kids meal from earlier on today.

     I was in love with the food and I was pretty sure Eric could see that. He laughed and said"Dig in Janessa." And that I did. I didn't say another word until I had managed to eat the whole plate of ziti. I probably looked like a pig but now was not the time to worry. After I had finished my ziti I said "Thank you. Baked ziti is my favorite food." he nodded and said"I know I asked James(your fake brother) what you liked to eat and he just laughed and said "Make ziti the woman will go mad over you""Note to self chew James out later for him doing that and thank him because I hadn't had ziti in a long time."So Eric why'd you save me in there first place?" He wearily laughed as though to expect this would be a topic."Well I never did really look like a Zonno. That got me beaten up like you did for quite a while. After a while it stopped but their judgment and my title were forever ruined because my mom was a Shuttler. My dad was loved by everyone because his plan was ingenious and made the Shuttlers an easy target.""Woah Woah Woah! You sound like the-" "Great Betrayal yeah I know. Der is my brother though he doesn't know. I was pulled out of my moms stomach which would mean I was a premature baby but they used their technology to grow me up to where I wouldn't die. I've always been curious about Shuttlers and I always wanted to be on the good side." I nodded "OK" "Don't tell Der I want to get to know him first and I don't want the Shuttlers to freak out about another half baby being born." I nodded again. "Well how about that Der has a brother!" Der deserved it he was a good person."I have a couple questions of my own." I nodded that seemed to be all I could do tonight."Do you have a boyfriend?" "No...maybe...I don't know this guy is really confusing." "Well this guy sounds rather stupid to me because if you were my girlfriend I would be bragging and I would never shut up about how beautiful she is."" Thank you. You're probably the first guy to tell me that.""Really that's surprising!" "Haha very funny next question." "Why were you in the ship in the first place?"

     It was my turn to laugh wearily"There might be some kind of huge prophecy about me that states I will save us from Zonnos or I will hand Shuttlers over to the Zonnos by I guess some other kind of Great Betrayal and all will be lost. The Zonnos found out about it and they picked me up once I had ran away and fell asleep under the tree. Shuttlers as we know it will either become superhumans or dead. I do not know how to handle this part of failure might happen thing.""Well in my experience of you so far I don't believe you will fail because when you had been stung ten times been beaten for three days and you still stood and fought tougher than I've ever seen for a warrior.""Thank you any other questions?" "Not really come with me." He walked over to the edge of the platform and just looked out over the trees for a while. After about ten minutes of this I started to shiver. He slid over to me and wrapped his jacket around me. I thanked him and gave him a big hug and I was drawing his heat away from his body. Then I thought maybe I want to be warm. I imagined a heater inside my body was warming me up and I hung his jacket around both of us now and warmed up. This was really nice I had been fearing this date but it wasn't all that bad. But now I felt torn by Mike and Eric. They both were really nice guys and I feared one of them I might hurt. Eric leaned in to me and I thought not again. But he just grabbed his keys from his jacket pocket and smirked"What did you think I was gonna do miss kissy pants?" I blushed but took off for the car imagining me in the drivers seat with the keys in my hand. And all I heard shortly behind me was "Hey that's not fair!" I laughed and put the keys in the ignition and crawled over to passenger seat letting his car heater warm me up. He trudged over and clambered into the drivers seat. We drove in silence the way back he was still obviously in a mood from earlier. I apologized but he was giving me the silent treatment. Fine be that way. I'll talk in his mind. "Eric stop being a baby I said I'm sorry." He looked bewildered" How did you do that?""I thought you knew I can do that. I can do pretty much anything I want but I promise I won't do it because I will never know if what they're doing is because they want to or if they are forced by me.""I would want to if you wanted me to." He said nonchalantly. He then leaned in and grabbed a Kleenex from the door. "Stop doing that!" "Doing what this?" He leaned in and kissed me. And wow was this kiss amazing it was strong yet soft powerful yet sweet it was ying to yang. I loved it but at that moment I pulled away. "Thank you that was...something" I said out of breath. That was my second kiss in two days. Wow was I a player. He nodded and said"You are so beautiful you deserved to be kissed by someone who loves you." Wasn't that just the sweetest thing. But before I could say anything Therese came stomping out of the base with Der right behind her."It is one oclock in the morning and here you guys decide to grace us with your presence finally." I blushed and got out of the car."Let's not forget who threw me into the middle of an arrow fight just to try to shoot arrows at me." At that she looked down at her feet and looked ashamed. Der cleared his throat and said "You might want to hurry inside Mike is having a seizure I did the honors of locking him in his room so he couldn't do anything to snoop on your date." I thankfully hugged Der and said "Thank you so much I'll make it up to you sometime." I ran up the stairs and unlocked his door. He practically fell out because he fell asleep laying on the door. Mike stood up with catlike reflexes and once he realized it was me he hugged me and said"I talked to the Council, you're right they said that you can choose whoever you want whenever you want. Isn't that great now we can be together." Well now I'm in deep two different guys two very different people and yet I've fallen for both.
