  They all slowly started moving their hands up and down. I freaked out and ran but all that got me was I hit a wall I took off the other way and hit another wall I was freaking out some more. I knew it was either up or down for me but with the floors made of stone I took off as fast as I could. In my mind all I could think was trampoline feet and I jumped out of the four sided wall thing. I was laughing taking off for the back door when everything just seemed to go in slow motion I turned around and noticed I was the only thing going that slow. So you can only assume that they caught me without a problem. I gave up knowing I would never win. And then I felt an extreme case of deja vu as the chloroform was slipped on my mouth and nose. Though this session of chloroform was less violent and was over much quicker.

    I woke up with a start. I looked around the room and noticed it was really dark. There were straps around my hands and ankles. I was struggling at the straps when a huge man and frail woman came through the door."Don't even try we have those straps magic proofed for people like you trying to make a quick get away." "People like me?" I asked. They both stood there looking at each other not knowing what to say when Der, Mike, and Therese walked in. They nodded at the other two people in the room and they left without a single glance."Guys seriously what's going on I obviously can't get away from whatever you're so determined to tell me!"I said hyperventilating. "You just need to calm down before we have another forrest uprooted.""There's a prophecy about you and we are positive it is you but if you never listen you will never figure out why we need you."

    I sat there shocked not knowing how to reply but I calmed down quickly knowing that there was nothing else I could do. They walked up and undid the straps that were restraining me. Mike watched me warily not knowing if this was a good idea. I winked at him and gave him my best evil smile. He froze in his place not knowing if this was a threat or just a tease. Therese spoke before he could act,"Stop that unless you have some death wish that will get us all killed. Mike is your step-brother...ex step-brother that is. He is a half bred Shuttler while on the other hand you are a full bred Shuttler." "Half bred full bred you make us sound like dogs." I said angrily. Mile stepped forward "That is pretty much the best way to describe it." sounding exasperated.

    

    "Well oh mighty explainers please share your beautiful amazing information so I can be blessed upon meeting us." "OK sarcastic Sally there's no need for that we have risked more than you know to save your hide multiple times." Der said. I sighed and looked out their window refusing to make eye contact. If they wanted to argue there was no way I was going to lose. They all circled me so I looked up. Mike laughed and said "yep there you go if you wanted a test to confirm that this was even Janessa you got one. That is exactly what Janessa would do. Never did lose a fight to me always had to win." I huffed showing my aggravation. "Oh yeah huff and puff I'm not losing to you this time." I raised my eyebrow and pretended he wasn't there. As I looked up they were gone. Dang it control the power control the power. I repeated that multiple times and as I calmed my mind they came back.

    I ran over and apologized "I'm so sorry I didn't know I would do that!" Mike gave me a chauvinistic grin and said "You didn't but it was a good trick of mine and oh yeah I won." As he did his little victory dance around the room I kicked him in the shin. He whimpered and I laughed, a real laugh I hadn't had a real laugh since my family died. Therese and Der stared at me with their mouthes open and then slowly as if they were on laughing gas and the effects were just beginning they busted out laughing and fell to the floor clutching their stomachs. Mike got up and grunted something about ignorant ungrateful friends.

      They just laughed more. Mike gets up grunting some more obviously mad as I'm about to say don't mess with a girl from Texas he stomps over to me and backs me up in a corner and says"Look I'm done playing your games you're going to sit down, listen and not say a single word until we are done explaining! Got it." I made a mad face and concentrated on telling Mike in his head got it and he just smiled and sat down.
