*Adrianna's POV*
The air roughly caresses my face as Black speeds through the forest; dodging branches and fallen tree trunks. Silk isn't too far behind with her white fur appearing as a blur to any human eye. I feel Black's adrenaline increase as he picks up his speed once again. The moment I believe this is his optimum level, he surprises me by going faster.

'Slow down.' Silk whines as she struggles to keep pace.

I chuckle before patting Black's left shoulder. Reluctantly he slows down and comes to a halt. Silk walks a little ahead of us so that we can see her before dramatically collapsing on the soft and slightly overgrown grass.

'My paws ache so badly.' She groans while closing her eyes. Her body lays so still that you would think she was nothing but dead.

'Don't worry.' Black suddenly sits back on his hind legs causing me to lose my balance and fall off, my bum hitting the forest floor with a soft thump. Silk opens her eyes to see what happened, shrugs and closes them again while Black shakes his head from side to side, almost in a scolding manner. I scowl softly before crawling and sitting cross-legged next to Black. 'When you shift,' he continues,'you'll be able to keep up with me.' Silk opens her eyes once more, looks at Black in annoyance and sighs.

I shake my head slightly in amusement at how they act. 'Alpha Venom." Adrian's voice rings crystal clear in my mind. 'It's almost time.'

'Is everyone assembled?' I enquire, sighing.

'Yes.' He responds quickly.

'I'll be right there.' I stand up slowly and so do Black and Silk.

I look at Black, lightly pet his fur and smile. 'It's time to shift back to kitty form, Black.'

'But I don't know how to, Alpha.'

'You simply need to imagine your cat form: your whiskers, your paws and the weird twisty spine you'll have.'  I chuckles lightly at the last part.

'Well she got the weird spine thing right.' Silk states as she stretches herself amd twists her spine in such a way that her back legs face upwards towards us while her front paws and face are in the opposite direction to it.

'Okay...'  Black says reluctantly while frowning.

He closes his eyes and concentrates on the task. Slowly, his bones start to crack and re-adjust themselves as his form gets smaller. Silk pads her way next to Black and purrs, nudging him with her paw.

Black lifts his head up and looks at me. 'I feel so tiny now.'  He whines.

I shake my head and chuckle. 'Come now. We need to get going.' They both huff but nonetheless start walking.

Silently I make my way to the rest. Their whispers and hushed murmurs reach my sensitive hearing, making it impossible for me to think clearly. So much has happened. So much to clear up. So many confusions and misunderstandings. If only Father was here, he would have known how to handle it.

'You're your father's daughter.' Silk chimes in my mind.

'Don't doubt yourself.' Black adds.

'All will be well as long as you're around, Alpha Venom.' They both finish off.

I give them a small smile and short nod. Holding my head up high, I walk with determination towards the rest, confidence and power radiating off my body in strong waves. As I get closer, the whispers cease.
