*Adrianna's POV*

"Adrianna." The same voice i know so well calls out. I turn around to see Billy looking at me with disbelief clearly written on his face. His mouth is agape as he tries to register everything.

Adrian immediately comes to my right side, while Ryan takes his place on my left, acting as my protectors. Surprisingly, Leah comes to stand behind Adrian, next to Paul who is behind us.

"Billy." I reply with a grin. "Its been a long while, hasn't it?" I ask.

"Indeed." He replies giving me a small, pleasant, smile. "You always had it in you. That driving force of wisdom and patience. Its no surprise that you're Alpha today." He voices rings clearly through the air with pride laced in it as well as respect.

Gasps escape the lips of the spectators and many start to whisper. None of them would have ever though of a female being an Alpha. Hello even i wouldn't have thought of female being an Alpha yet here i am.

"I see your pack has decreased since your father's passing. He was a great man of strength and true wisdom. I am truly sorry we couldn't attend the funeral." I tell him as i bow my head slightly in respect of his father while letting out a small sigh.

"No Adriana," He says as he wheels himself towards us until his directly in front of me. He takes my left hand in his right and Adrian's right hand in his left. Looking us both each in the eye individually, he offers us a small smile before continuing to speak.

"You both had important duties to carry out. The duty of finding my father's killer. And you'll did." His smile grew bigger as he stared off into the distance, recalling something maybe.

"I remember-" I was right "- the day after the funeral, i was fuming with anger and i wanted nothing more than to hunt down and kill that vampire in the most ruthless of ways possible." He sighs. "But after your father told me of what you two did to him when you'll found him..." He shakes his head from side to side. "I truly felt sorry for the vampire regardless of what he did. You two were..." He tries to find the proper word but somehow can't.

"Cruel?" Ray asks.

"Psychotic?" Adrian pops in.

"No, no that. You two don't show sympathy when you kill. It's like you'll are filled with..."

"Darkness... Hollow and empty... Devoid of any feeling, of any emotion. Merciless... Ruthless... Cold... And careless." I state coldly with no emotion, in a monotone.

"Precisely." Billy agrees hesitantly as I drift off. Isolating myself from the others. My thoughts automatically get blocked before they delve into my horrific past.

Silence befalls us as the others all watch us closely, like hawks. The fire crackles, burning high and bright, casting shadows... Reminding me of the shadows Adrian and I had cast upon our victims. Their feeble screams while asking for mercy, while tempting to threaten us with their power and influence. Pathetic...

That's exactly what Daniel, Billy's father's killer did. He was part of the Volturi and had the ability to shapeshift into anything and anyone he pleased. Everything from his eye colour to his accent and voice would change except for his scent. That was the downfall in his ability.

He warned us of the Volturi being a powerful influence in the vampire world, of the amount of trouble we'd get into for killing an important member of their coven but we didn't give a damn. Rage and anger filled us at that time making is seek revenge. We weren't the ones to follow rules, always breaking them. But i was worse than Adrian, i have the many scars to prove it too.

"Sister?" Ian places his hand on my shoulder, slightly shaking it. I look around confused for a second before realising where i actually am... The bonfire.
