She Wolf

*Adriana's POV*
I stare at the couple hugging each other before me. Resnesmee's hand wrap around Ryan's waist tightly as if he might vanish at any moment. Ryan mumbles words of assurance into her ear, calming her down from her hysteric state. I glance at Sam, who is still in wolf form, sitting in the spot I left him. You can go now and don't you dare try attacking me again. I wont be so lenient. I tell him through a mind-link. Sam growls before slowly raising to his paws and limping into the forest while still in wolf form.

I can feel the guy with the bronze hair ,who had previously been glaring at Ryan, now look at me. A sigh of frustration escapes his mouth and he runs his fingers through his hair in annoyance.

"I can't read her mind." He whispers into the ear of a short pixie like vampire whose been staring at nothing in particular for the past 5 minutes. Had it not been for my unusual sensitive hearing, I would have not been able to hear that. I look their way, a small innocent smile gracing my lips as my grey eyes bore into their golden ones. The pixie vampires seems a bit startled and uncomfortable.

"Adri-", Ryan starts but I cut him off. I've been doing that too much lately.

"You've imprinted. " I state more than question, my eyes still fixated on the vampires.

With a sigh he replies yes. I turn my gaze towards him and immediately he lowers his head, his eyes firmly fixed on the damp grass.

"And you were planning on telling me when?" I asked, irritation clear in my voice. Don't get me wrong, I'm happy that he imprinted but I would have loved to have been told personally by him than to me figuring it out under these circumstances.

"I was going to tell you during the bonfire but they appeared and..." he sighs an inaudible sigh and shifts on his feet slightly. "Don't be mad." He says afraid of my anger.

My gaze softens as I look at him, my little cousin. I cup his cheek with my hand and make him look me in the eye. "Hey, Ray... I could never be mad at you for imprinting and I understand. I'm happy for you. I truly am. It's just that members of your imprint's family hurt my brother and I don't take a strong liking to that." I eyes briefly go over the vampires before meeting Ryan's once more. I sigh and let go of his cheek.

"I'm going to see Ian and then I'll look for them." I state.

"I'll help you look." Ryan quickly says.

"No." I say firmly. "Since they came only harm has occurred and that is not a good sign. I'll search for them and you will not intervene." I look at Ryan who bows his head down in respect. "Non of you will." I glance at the vampires briefly before turning on my heel and taking off to Adrian.

I burst through the door of Billy's house, startling everyone. Afrter leaving Ryan and the rest, I ran all the way to Billy's place. I have to nake sure my brother is alright. He is next in line to be Alpha if anything were to happen to me.

"Adrianna-" Billy tries to reason.

"You knew." I growled. "Ryan imprinted and you didn't tell me."

"Ryan didn't want us to tell you anything before he did." Seth explained.

"That's not the point, Seth. The fact of the matter is that this is bad." I state.

"How so?" Jacob asks in anger.

"Well first off they can't have kids. Secondly her family hurt my brother and thirdly I can't let history repeat itself." I hold my head as it starts to pound and groan in pain. Grabbing the nearest chair, I sit down with my head in between muly knees.

'We're here... We're here... Come... See us... Come... We have news... Alpha Venom... We're here...'

They whisper in my head, calling me to them. The familiarity of their voices sinks into my brian causing it to throb violently. I block my ears tightly, trying to keep them out for a while but it doesn't work.

'Alpha, Alpha!... Come quickly!... There isn't much time!... Anna come!... Come!'

I can't hold it in much longer and scream. A high pitched, terrifying scream of both anger and frustration. My voice grows hoarse as quickly their voices disappear and i quieten down. My breathing is heavy and I'm shaking voilently.

"Alpha." A hand is placed on my shoulder. A hand i know too well to misplace. A hand I've held since the day i was born.

"They're calling me, Adrian. I've felt their emotions, their fear, their anger..." I shudder. "It's the same feeling I've had when Ari found her mate."

"You mean to say... " he trails off not wanting to even imagine the same going to happen to Ryan.

"I hope for his sake its not so." I lift my head up, looking Adrian in the eye. "How are you feeling?"

"Fit as a fiddle." He replies with a grin, trying to cheer me up. I give him a weak smile in return.

'Alpha... Cliff... Birth time'

"Jacob." I call out as I turn to face him.

"Yes?" He replies a bit startled.

"Is there a cliff nearby?"

"Yes."

"Can you lead me there, please?"

"Why?" Adrian interupts before Jacob can reply. He looks at me worriedly. I stand up slowly and place my hands in his.

"Brother, I need to meet them." I sigh.

"No!" He states almost immediately.

"No isn't an option." I try to reason.

"Then you will not go alone. I'm coming with." He states firmly.

"No, Adrian. You'll stay with Billy and Leah and the rest."

"No, Adrianna. I'm coming with you!" He yells, angry that I won't let him come.

"No!" I yell at him, my Alpha surfacing completely causing my eyes to turn a scary, empty black. "I've told you once, I will not repeat myself. You will stay here until I call for you or I come back. Understood?"

He nods his head slowly and back away from me, shaking in slight fear. He isn't accustomed to my Alpha side since I hardly show it.

"Jacob, can you take me to the cliff?" I ask once I return to normal.

He glances at Billy who nods quickly. He sighs. "Yes." He finaly replies and walks out the door. I follow close behind him.

'Alpha! Alpha! Finally we see you again!'

They sing joyfully.

Why did they need to come now?
