Chapter 6
(to the side is a possible cover...I couldnt choose!)
Fashion Smack
One thousand, nine hundred, and forty-two dollars. That's how much money I needed to pay for my stupid new wardrobe.
As if.
"There's no way in hell I'm gonna pay for this. Put it all back"
Both of Bay and Rad's mouths hung open.
"What!" they both shouted.
"I'm not a bank! Does it look like I have two-thousand dollars for a new wardrobe?" I asked as I raised my eyebrows.
Bay started doing awful hand motions while Rads looked like she was ready to jump me.
"We spent, five and a half hours! Five and half hours on a Saturday, to generously help you out on your road to being an 'actress' and this is how you repay us? By throwing away our hard work!" Rads whispered going wild.
"Okay fine. I'll choose some things from our pile. That good?"
They both hesitated before finally agreeing with my compromise. Nodding, I sifted through the huge mountain of female clothing and set aside a tiny pile for myself. Deciding everything was in order and, I turned back to my friends.
"Done" I huffed.
"Which pile are you getting" Bay asked.
"Eh, this one" I said while holding up the items.
"Mimi..." Rads started out carefully, "that's a tube of lip gloss and some bobby pins"
"I know. It's on sale too" I said excitedly.
Bay started hyperventilating crazily.
"No! You will not just buy a flimsy pack of cheap hair holders and lip oil! You will get at least some of the clothes we all chose!" she shouted while pointing at the herd of clothing.
"Whatever. I'm not going over two hundred bucks though" I replied carelessly while I let them simmer down.
"What if Bay and I chip in a couple hundred? Then you can at least get a quarter of what we chose" Rads impatiently suggested.
"Fine" I dragged on.
"Oh! And since bay and I are helping you pay, we can choose half of the stuff you need to buy"
"I get it already! Lets get on with it, I'm over this"
The frilly atmosphere of the shop we've been in didn't exactly boost my confidence in what their selection is gonna be either. All different shades and types of pink that I never even knew existed sat around the shop. Blinding white lights decorated with ribbons gripped onto the walls.
After a couple minutes, I was done with my pile and hesitantly approached the two crazy females.
"Done" I repeated.
They both twirled around at the same time with various hangers of clothing wrapped around their arms. Sly smiles and raised eyebrows infected the air.
Oh good lord.
"We've got the perfect types of outfits necessary for a young woman who plans to seek out the thrilling world of stardom!" Rads dramatically said.
I smacked my face.
"I just need to look nice. You know for moving schoo-"
They both shushed me.
"Whatever! You'll look cute both ways!" Bay squealed.
