Chapter 8

I know this is alot to take in, but hey, I said the plot would start.

RECAP: (its been like two months since i've written so...)

Mimi just pre-auditioned and decided to continue switching schools to get acting experience. And, baby, it's her first day at her new school.

"Keys, keys, where's my damn keys" I mumbled in frustration.

Sighing, I ran a hand through my hair completely forgetting the effort Rads and Bay put into it. Those two came to my house at five in the morning just to grab the "one in a million" chance of dressing me up for school.

Idiots.

I winced, remembering the way they twisted and prodded at my scalp to produce the oh-so famous "didn't try hard for messy hair even though I did" look. They left ten minutes ago, leaving my room a mess.

What was even worse than the hair pulling was their never ending lecture on how to get the most neutral yet cute outfit.

"You want too look cute, but not so cute that you'll end up looking like some ten- year old loser"

What is up with high schooler's focusing on whether or not you look 'mature' or whatever. The idiocy these days. People should wear what they want. That's why it's called a free country. But I just resorted into rolling my eyes to save me from an unimportant counter argument Rads might have up her sleeve.

"Look pretty, but not too pretty, some girls can be animals when their jealous, especially of someone's looks"

I sort of understood this. Not really.

"Try to look a smidge bit mysteriously sexy too! Oh my god! Guys would love that. Oh But not too sexy that you'll look sluttish. Don't grab too many guys' attention, that includes the girls and their jealousy thing."

Of course.

So after some scolding, cheeky smiles, and tips, they came up with the most neutral, and generic outfit possible.

Skinny jeans, and a flowy top. And as stupid and personality crushing it was, I had to be bland so no one would dislike me already. Besides, I have no idea how the people at Forrester High are. Unfortunately, I'll have to carefully wade around their territory before I could form what personality I should have in order to please everybody. Yep, all a part of Mr. Hollis' plans.

"Yes!" I whisper shouted, finally finding my keys behind a book on the floor.

I glanced at the clock right above my door and immediately went into over-drive mode. I had about twenty minutes to eat breakfast and go to school; a school that was fifteen minutes away. Wrenching my door open, I flew down the stairs and ran towards the dim litted kitchen. Quickly thinking of a simple breakfast, I grabbed a banana from our counter, and some left over apple pie from last night's dinner.

With eighteen minutes to spare, I sighed in relief and walked towards my front door. I haven't even been to my new school yet and it was already getting me stressed. Opening my front door, I stumbled upon something odd.

"Wow, what an unpleasant surprise"

Clare looked back at me with a solemn expression on his face, or should I say a more anxious expression.

"Look Clare, I don't have much time, I really have to go"

"Wait Mims, I have something important to say" he murmered.
