"Where am I?" I moaned, lifting up my head to get a look around me. I seemed to be in a bed of sorts, fully clothed and a tad bit empty headed. I racked my brain for a reasonable explanation and came up with one rather easily.

"I... Ran into the door," I recapped, outloud, "I was so excited to meet the man Mister Harkness had been telling me about. He's a doctor... I better get up. Don't want to look rude when I meet this person." I hopped off the side of the bed, slipping my toes into some chompy slippers. I giggled as I walked across the room, through the doorway and to the living room where Mister Harkness was talking to a raggedy looking man. I looked in his eyes and knew instantly that he was a lot older than the rest of him looked. Mentally, of course... Or maybe he just had a lot of operations. I don't really know how, but I could tell he'd been through a lot. His eyes gave away something else, too. It showed recent loss. Recent DEVASTATING loss.

"I'm very sorry for your loss," I offered, startling Mister Harkness and making the other man fall deeper into the depression, "Are you Mister Harkness' doctor friend?"

"I am," he rose from his spot on the couch and shook hands with me, "I'm actually just called the Doctor, miss... Erm..."

"Ruler," I supplied, almost forgetting my own name as well, for a moment, "Aeon Ruler."

"That's a nice name," the Doctor smiled, "An eon's a very unique measurement of time, you know. And as for ruler, it really just is another way to say head authority; as in king, commander, master, lo...eader."

"That's very interesting, Doctor," I appreciated his knowledge. He was definitely one smart cookie.

"Yeah," he sighed, looking at the wall behind me, looking sadder still.

"Mister Harkness said you had a... Phone Box," I searched my mental library again. It felt so empty and wrong to me, but I waved it as nonsense and continued on my search, "Right?"

"Why... Yes I do," he nodded, "Would you like to see it, Aeon Ruler?"

"Sure," I allowed, mostly to be polite. I didn't really care about any stupid phone box. He nodded and offered me towards the door. Just as he were leaving, he mouthed something to Mister Harkness.

Thanks, Jack.
