Catty: In the last book, I mentioned how Aeon really hated Untempered Schisms. By this, I don't mean staring into the vortex, but rather, it was a class that students at the Academy. Untempered Schisms explained in detail about the Vortex, traveling through it, TARDIS and other vortex travel devises safety measures and what's so special about it. The problem was, Aeon hadn't stared into the vortex until her second regeneration, for whatever reason. I believe you can't really pass Untempered Schisms until you've actually looked upon them, so she kinda just failed that class, every year, no matter how hard she tried. That is also why she hated it so much

"Better?" he looked up at me as I stepped back into the control room.
"Yeah," I nodded.
"So... How about a little adventure, hmm?" the Doctor smirked, "Let's see... Let's start with..."
"Time," I suggested.
"What?" he blinked.
"Time," I repeated, "Let's travel somewhere in time. I always was fond of America, too... Let's go to their colonial times!"
"America?" the Doctor's smile dropped, suddenly, "You want to go to... America?"
"Yeah," I confirmed, "Why? You don't like America?"
"I'm more of a... Great Britain person, myself," the Doctor admitted, "Not really one for... America."
"Oh, come on," I pushed him lightly on the arm, "America's great, too."
"Alright," the smile returned, "Let's go to America, then!"
