Chapter 14

I woke up to being carried by Edward. I snuggled closer to his chest. I was happy to hear a faint heartbeat.

He open the door and I could hear people inside, he didn't want to lay me down on the couch so I was in his arms.

I looked toward the sound and to my glee I saw that Esme and Carlisle were happily looking at us.

"I am so happy for the two of you." Carlisle told us. He knew what a mate entitled too and he was happy that Edward had found someone to be with.

"Thanks, when did you get back?" I tiredly asked.

"A while ago. You look really tired dear. Edward why don't you let her sleep on your bed?" Esme sweetly told Edward to do.

I can wake up please let me stay. I am glad to see them. I told Edward

Edwards laugh was low as he tried to hide it.

How could you see them if you can barley open your eyes. I could still hear is laughter.

This was the happiest I've seen him and it made me happy too.

There wasn't any arguing about staying up because Edward was right. I was tired, completely drained.

"Are you going to stay with me? You can come into my dreams now." My weak tired voice called to him.

"I'll stay with you, but I'm not so sure how to work this bond. If I can't see you in your dreams I couldn't figure it out." He gently laid me down.

My heart strained at his gentleness. How much he cared was so overwhelming. I never was able to enjoy this. I've never been with someone that cares this much.

I got comfy in bed and fell asleep with a smile.

Edward's POV

Marie had fallen asleep and her cute smile was on her face.

I tried for a bit to get into her dreams like she suggested, but I didn't know how to. We were linked mentally. It felt almost like a physical link but everything was so new to me.

I reluctantly left her side to explain myself to Carlisle and Esme.

Every step I took away from her was heavy.

"You're a real idiot you know that right." Rosaline greated me.

"I know." I rolled my eyes at her.

"And worst of all your with her again? At least it's not a human." Rosaline snickered.

"Come on. Isn't it better for him to be with Marie. Look at him he's so happy." Emmett tried to defend me.

"Yea Jasper's really overloading on the emotion." Alice laughed. Jasper had been holding her close the whole time.

Rosaline was outnumbered in her objection so I didn't listen to her complaints.
