Author's Note

Hello this isn't a usual update but I'm just going to make something clear about mates for chameleons.
Mates are almost like imprints.
Mates can be whatever the pair needs them to be a friend, brother/sister or even lover.
Unlike imprints a chameleon can mate more than once throughout their lifetime with a living mate or when their mate died.
In some cases a person can have two mates but usually if this happens one loves the other in a romantic way while the other loves them as a sibling. In this case the lover might fall out of love but love them as a sibling and the sibling might fall in love with the mate.

Little in site to Marie's family.
Marie's father has two mates his first one was Marie's mother, but surprisingly enough her father mates with male in a brotherly way. They're close, I've written about her parents but haven't found anywhere to add it.

Also Marie's parents don't care when she runs away. They care when people start questioning where she went and that's when they send gaurds out to kidnap her.

To make it clear Marie's mate is dead.
He died during a battle. I'm writing up the part for how and who killed him later. It's going to be an intense part(hopefully)
