Chapter 11

Back at Sam's I saw that Bella was leaving with Jacob to who knows where.

"Marie Embry told Bella some secrets." Quil ratted on Embry.

Embry looked mortified that quil had betrayed his trust. I only laughed.

"Calm down. It's fine what else happened while I was still walking back." I asked curious as to what else was going on.

"Bella was really awkward but she was fine. Jake took her away to the beach to talk to her." Jared replied, but there's an emphasis on the last part.

"Oh, I see." My voice didn't have it's happy tone anymore but rather I was feeling mischievous.

"Sorry Marie. We can all hear his thoughts. He's going to ask her out at the beach." Embry told me with sympathy.

"I don't care. That relationship is done and over with. I always knew that he loved me but his heart still loved Bella." I finally admitted.

I was looking at the ground when I felt the guys warm arms around me.

"Marie you're truly are amazing. Scary and sometimes seem heartless but you care so much." Paul said as the pack had circled me in an embrace.

"Thanks guys, but I'm going to melt with all the heat." I joked.

They released me from their hold and I let out a dramatic sigh.

We all laughed at my dramatics, but I knew this was some normality for the pack. I was glad to see them enjoying themselves even though Jake had broken an important rule.

I didn't make the pack patrol this night. I ended up doing it all on my own because they deserved to have a normal night.

There wasn't anything out of the ordinary throughout the night, I didn't bother to shift into a wolf. I walked around like a helpless human that got lost, but that didn't attract any vampires.

The sun was starting to shine so I just walked back to the reservation to get my car and head home.

I'd be back later to go patrolling again.

At home I just took a much needed shower. I spent the rest of the morning making food as I let my hair air dry.

I was enjoying my breakfast when my phone began ringing.

I recognized the number as Edwards. Quickly I swallowed my food and answered.

"Hey what's up." I asked him in a quick tone.

"Hey you sound in a hurry. Did I call at a bad time?" He asked worried.

"No. It's just that I was eating. " I was flustered, but I didn't know why.

"Oh alright. So how has Forks been. Anything new happen." He sighed.

I knew that he was hinting at Bella when he wants to know if anything new happened.
