Chapter 3

Marie's POV

Sam and the pack did not let me leave the room I was confined in.

They had left me here after I asked for food.

I was still dizzy after waking up and my lungs burned every time I took a breath.

This was so stupid keeping me locked up, spirits know what Jake must be thinking after being gone for so long.

Why was I even here, I would have thought Edward would put me in my house or even at their house.

So many question and no answers that I can get while stuck in this bed.

"I bought you string beans and chicken breast." A female voice called.

"Thanks..." I waited for her to reply for her name.

"Emily, I'm Sam's imprint." Emily said as she passed me the food. I had finally got a full view of her face. The long scar was down her beautiful face and I knew it was done by Sam. I could only imagine his regret.

"Oh imprint, he must have read it in my books. I hope you too are you happy." I said with a smile, ignoring the scar.

"We're engaged actually." A small smile played on her lips.

"I see. When can I leave?" I asked already wanting to leave.

"As soon as you're strong enough." She told me.

She reached out her hand to take the plate once I was done with my food.

"Well that would be soon. My strength is already coming back. Where is my phone?"

"Sam didn't have your phone. Do you know where it might be?"

"Yes I do." I said as I sung my feet over the bed and stood. This time I didn't wobble.

"You can't be leaving already." Emily stood up alert now.

"I am. I need to get home, I'll be back in the morning to see what the pack needs help with." I was moving towards the open window to jump downstairs because I didn't want to be stopped.

"Wait you can't go out like that." Emily said stopping me.

I hadn't acknowledge what I looked like and what I was wearing. Sure enough being in a black dress wasn't the smartest thing.

"I'll get you some leggings I don't wear and a sweater."

Emily left the room as I looked outside to the dark forest. I could barely see my reflection on the glass and I could see the glow around the crown of my head and the pointed ears.

"Well this must be a surprise to them. Stupid crown." I sighed as I felt my fangs brush against my lips.

"Here. I won't tell Sam that you left, until after you're far enough. Just make sure to come back tomorrow." Emily told me as she passed my clothes to change into.
