Trigger Warning // Miscarriage--
I don't like to talk about it –not because you're not important
because you are.
I don't like to talk about it –
because I'll miss out
on your entire life
for the rest of mine.
I don't like to talk about it –
because every day I wonder
who you would have been
and
what you could have done.
I don't like to talk about it –
because my baby is gone.
I don't like to talk about it –
because 2018 was supposed to be the
year of your firsts.
First
Valentine's Day.
Saint Patrick's Day.
Fourth of July.
Halloween.
Thanksgiving.
Birthday.
I don't like to talk about it –
because of the stigma
"you can have another"
"maybe something was wrong"
"the father/timing/age wasn't right."
I don't like to talk about it –
because to be quite frank:
the stigma is bullshit.
I don't like to talk about it –
because
I wanted my baby.
That baby.
You.
