Hunter's POV

I look at Kenzie as she lays in a hospital bed. Tubes everywhere. "Hunter are you sure you want to stay?" My mom asks looking at me. "I'm sure," I sniffle looking at my girlfriend. Ashton walks over and kisses Kenzie's cheek. "See you tomorrow. Kenz," He whispers looking at her. He hugs me and him and my mom walk out of the room. "Don't leave me Kenzie, Don't leave me like Brandon did," I cry looking at her. The nurse comes in and smiles weakly at me."Hey Hunter," She says rubbing my shoulder. "You really should go home," She sighs. "I can't," I whisper, looking up at her. "You've been here since she came in last week," She says looking at me. "I don't plan on leaving until she does," I sigh looking back at Kenzie. She nods as she does her daily check-up, making sure that everything was normal. She moves over Kenzie, making room for me, which she did every night. "Thank you," I sigh. She nods and walks out, closing the curtain and shutting off the lights. I climb into the bed next to Kenzie and play with the ends of her hair. "You'll wake up soon. I know you will," I whisper as my head rests on hers. "I love you," I sigh as I close my eyes, slowly drifting to sleep. It's been a week since MacKenzie fell into a coma from a drug overdose. Although the pills didn't make their way to her stomach, they were in her mouth long enough to release toxins. Doctors said that she could wake up anytime. Today, tomorrow, in 3 months or in 9 years, the possibilities are endless. And the longer it's been, the scarier it becomes.
