Chapter Six

Ruby's P.O.V.

     I blush deeply watching as Vawp carry me into the room and holds me close to him. He lays me down on my bed and climbs up to get next to me. me and him stare into each other eyes for a while.

      I lean in and kiss Vawp softly, he doesn't hesitate to kiss back in the slightest. I slide my hands around his neck holding onto him pulling him closer, with him slowly breaking our kiss blushing locking eyes again.

     I groan slowly letting go and placing a hand on my head. Vawp tilts his head slightly and brushes a part of my hair out of my face before whispering, "you okay?"

I nod slowly before consoling him, "Yeah, just had a wave of nausea..."

"Okay, do you need anything?"

"maybe a glass of water?" I say, smiling softly.

Vawp's P.O.V.

     I nod slowly before getting off the bed and leave the room to get a water. As I was walking through the hallway I saw Coco talking to Velvet, they both glanced at me with Coco smirking. I nod before walking past her.

     I find a vending machine and buy a water before heading back to Ruby. Upon opening the door I see Ruby groaning ad curled up into a ball. I walk over and hand her the water before stroking her hair.

     I pull out my scroll and message Yang, 'can you come to the dorm I think Ruby might be sick.' I don't know if Yang will get that but it's better then nothing. I rub Ruby's back sighing softly before asking, "Hey Rubes, can you tell me how you're feeling?"

"I just feel nauseous," Ruby smiles softly.

I nod before checking my scroll and see yang texted back that she'll be here in a minute with Qrow.

"Hey Ruby, get some rest okay? Yang will be here soon,"I whisper trying to soothe her. 

     I see her nod slowly and decide to get on the bed with her to continue stroking her head. As I wait for Yang I inspect our room and see if there anything I can think about besides the fact that we're on bunkbeds held up by books and rope. 

     After a while of waiting, I hear the door open seeing Yang and Qrow coming in and sees me stroking Ruby's hair. Qrow stares for a moment as Yang came over rubbing Ruby's shoulder before asking, "what's her symptoms?"

"She said that she was feeling nauseous and I just wanted to make sure she was okay," I say sliding out of the bed to give Ruby and Yang some room. I walk over to Qrow and lean against the door as I see Ruby's up again and whispering something.

     After a while of Ruby and Yang whispering to each other, she waves Qrow over and then it's the three of them whispering. Qrow nodded before glaring back to me and exiting the room Leaving me, Ruby, and Yang.

"Hey, Vawp can you leave and go do something? I want to have a 'girl' talk without a chance of you overhearing," Yang asks as she glances at me.

     I nod before sliding my mask on and leave. While I walked out I decided to head to Ozpin to see if he needs anything with me before the day's end. 

Time Skip

     Ozpin told me that he wanted me to take a look into his systems and see why things were acting up, so I did by taking a look at the wiring, the controls, and about anything else that could have come up being useful and saw nothing.

     I decided then I might as well check the servers to see if it has been hacked or not. I quickly saw that someone or Ozpin is really stupid, make an easy to access backdoor into the server. I went into it and saw everything that the tower has, even control to the Atlus troops and airships. 

     Upon discovery, I quickly got out of the server to make sure whoever placed that back door didn't know I accessed it and rushed to Ozpin's office, I have too...

Duck!

     I gasp ducking into a roll seeing that someone tried to hit me. I quickly used my semblance to slow time down and see Cinder. I smirk knowing since she also tried to recruit me before Roman that this would be interesting.

      I got back up and turned my semblance off before dusting off my coat and ask, "What do you want Cin..." She places a finger to her lips before waving her finger for me to follow. I groan slightly following but staying on my guard.

      Cinder had lead me to where her temporary room as a 'student' fighting in the tournament was and sat down on her bed. I glance around her room as she started to speak, "so one of my helpers spotted you walking through the hallway, the one that tried to trick you by showing you your 'team' leader." 

She stopped to see if I had anything to add before continuing, "and I apologize for that, but I do wish to ask, would you care to help with my plans?"

"I already have told you my answer," I sighed leaning onto the door.

She grit her teeth before regaining her composure, "yeah I know that, but this would be the best for the both of us" 

I raise an eyebrow to this.

"I could get your record cleared and your slate clean as a whistle"

I chuckle at this thought almost laughing a little before deciding to speak up, "I could just do that myself if I cared so much,"

"Oh? and what if I say I could get you place where you never have to look back and..."

"Until I outlive my use? come on, you gotta think I have half a brain."

"Don't be so thick headed, you do realize now since you're here you can't remain neutral, pick a side, the one that's going to win." 

"I don't need to pick a side"

Cinder groans before showing me the Maiden power she had stolen, "are you sure you don't want to join? This is your last chance before we take the final step..." 

      I nod slowly before seeing her charge at me. I dodge swiftly hitting her in the back. "Come on Cinder I thought you were smarter than that. You don't even have a single clue of what my true power or even my semblance is."

     She grumbles a bit before doing something unexpected, she shoots what looks like a grim's claw from her hand. I yet again dodge yet barely.

     I took that as my cue to leap out the closed window. She didn't expect that at least. I roll onto the floor to recover from the fall and quickly made my way to my team's dorm pulling out my scroll to see if I could call Ozpin or someone
