Chapter 1: After school, Pop's

ALERT: CRINGY WRITING AHEAD. I WROTE THIS A LONG TIME AGO :')

Jughead's P.O.V

I stare at her from afar. From where I'm standing, she's the center of everything. She's also the center of my life.

Cheesy much? I know. But it's true. I Love her.
Always have, and always will. I loved her ever since I first layed eyes on her. I didn't know until one day...

Flashback:
We sat together at our table at Pop's, waiting for our order. Mrs. Cooper, Mr. Andrews and my dad had to go attend a parent's meeting at school, so they left us here with money to spend. They were such cool parents.

Me and Betty were thumb wrestling when we heard the clanking of glasses and Archie walking towards us. We turn around and saw a lady holding a tray with our food. Archie sat down in front of us. "Hey Archie can I sit next to you?" She said while sliding next to Archie.

"You already are," he said, smirking. Betty giggled that cute giggle. Wait, did I just say she was cute? No. I stare into her eyes. Her clear blue eyes. The ones where I always get lost in. What am I saying? Get your shit together Jones! You know she likes Archie!

I never thought that this was what my impression of Betty would be after years of friendship. Right then and there, I knew there was something different between us. I liked her. No, I loved her.

End of Flashback

From then on, She was my everything. And she was the light. I was the dark.

"Hey Jughead?" A voice startled me while I was making my way towards Pop's. It was after school, and after the long day of having those classes, I needed a break.

"Hey, Betty! Betts, Better, ah-uh...." I fumbled. What the fuck are you saying?! I thought. She laughed and smiled. I instantly felt my heart beat faster. "I don't know about you, but maybe you could join me and Archie at Pop's?" she asked me sweetly. "Uh-yeah, sure! I was actually heading there myself!" I said. "See you later," "Bye,"

When I arrived there I instantly felt like a third wheel. They were talking and Archie's arm was slung over Betty's shoulders. I walked towards them.

"Hey guys, hope I wasn't late. Though by the looks of it, maybe I am." I said sarcastically, motioning to the half empty milkshake glasses. "Oh hey Jughead! Wait I just remembered! Remember that time when I choked on a cherry? I tried to copy you doing it and I choked. Thankfully Pop tate knew the Heimlich maneuver. And remember that time whe-"

he was interrupted by the sound of a bell ring. There weren't many people at Pop's, in fact the last group of people just left. We turned and saw a raven-haired girl wearing a black bodycon with heels. "Hey Ronnie." Archie said. At first when we met her, I thought she was pretty. Too bad my heart already was Betty's. Though she was pretty much my sister. Atleast I treated her like one.

"B, Archiekins, Jug! How have you guys been?" she said. I definetely missed her. She had been gone for a week cause she was out with the flu. "We're fine, but we missed you too," Betty said. After that, we chatted, catching up with Veronica. I would say this was fun.
