I bolted upright.
My eyes fluttered open, my heart beating dangerously fast. The same disturbingly vivid dream had haunted me once again, my forehead beaded with sweat from the experience of the dream.
My ebony red eyes took in my surroundings. I was lying down in my back yard, a book perched on my lap, The fault in our stars, and a now spilled cup of orange juice tipped next to me.
I let out a groan, my tangled chocolaty red hair clumped in knots from what I would have expected to be from the unpleasant thrill from the nightmare. Wait - no. I wouldn't exactally have called it a nightmare, more like a daymare. Thats right.
I was jerked out of my thoughts when a loud crash came from the house.
Dad.
Before I even knew what I was doing I found myself up on my feet, still feeling shaken from the 'daymare' and jogging towards the single storied house, an old brick house, but still, It was what I called home.
As I reached the solid birch door, I heard another crash and I threw it open, my eyes widening in horror at what was infront of me.
