The landscape infront of me was engulfed by an enormous castle, that seemed to be made of ice, literally. It's walls were covered with ice and snow that seemed to never melt, it's towers gleaming in the cool sunlight, reflecting off it's surroundings. It was placed above the village, so if one was in the amazing building, they would be able to see the village from every view.
My mouth must have parted in awe because Dan managed to plaster a friendly smirk on his face. I elbowed him gently in his side, causing him to fake a pained expression, his hand immediately clutching his side in fake agonizing pain. I smiled, letting out an amazed sigh, before turning around.
"Wait, where are you going?" asked Dan.
"Back to the village, you need to take me to my cottage house? or whatever you call them?" I responded, my face blank.
He merely let out a mild laugh, before gently taking my hand and turning me around the other way, causing my stomach to do flip flops. Come on! I thought to myself, There is no time for boys, I still have to find out why I am here. He smiled at me, unaware of what I was thinking, before letting go of my hand, and pointing to the castle. "You aren't to stay in a village house," he said, still laughing, "You are to stay in a castle."
My mouth dropped, I couldn't manage to muster any words to come out of my ajar mouth, so I merely let out a joyful fangirl meep, and resumed following his lead.
Before I knew it, we had reached the main enterance to the castle, it's ice doors immediately opening as if on cue as we approached, two muscular men, draped in icey aqua blue matching clothing, held the doors open for us, their faces neutral, showing no emotion. Wouldn't they be happy to be working in such an amazing place? I let my thoughts carry me away as I continued walking with Dan, matching my footsteps to his, taking in my surroundings.
The floors were embedded in diamond studs, much like I had seen on the bridle of Dan's horse. The walls had pillars of ice built into the ceiling and floor, which had some sort of ice pattern spiralling up each. The starcases were the same, but the effect of it all was almost too much to handle. But despite all of this ice, I didn't feel one bit cold. At all. Infact, I felt hot. Almost too hot to handle.
Dan must have picked up on this, because his face turned from his normal, happy face, to a face full of worry, and yet, some sort of disappointment masked itself onto his face as well.
"Somebody get the nurse!" Those were the first words I heard until I blacked out.

My footsteps crunched against the moist leaves, my eyes darting back and fourth as I took in my surroundings. Somehow they seemed, familiar.
As much as I wanted to turn around and head back to the castle. I couldn't. I was looking for something, but it was not known to me what I was exactly looking for. My breath came out in steam clouds, even though it was snowing. My mind began to swim in confusion as the snowflakes landed upon my skin, melting into steam with a hiss as they made contact with my skin. But my confusion was cut short as two ebony red eyes appeared infront of my from about a few yards off. I didn't need to ask who it was. I already knew.
"Why are you here," I said, my eyes narrowing in horror and insecurity, my nails digging into the palm of my hands to prevent me from shaking.
His responce came calm and suttle from his mouth, yet they crashed down on me like thunder.
"Why silly little girl. I'm here to kill you."
My eyes widened, and I took a step backwards, causing me to lose balance and land on my knees. "No, please!" I shouted, my eyes brimmed with tears. "Don't do this!"
As I screamed these words at him, the beast approached me, his jet black coat reflecting off the moonlight as he came closer. As soon as he reached me he halted, towering above me. His eyes threw daggers at me. Causing me to shiver into my shadow, forcing my eyes to remain open. But out off all of this chaos, I noticed one thing. His eyes were not full of hate and vengeance.
But instead, they were full of sorrow and insecurity. As I began to pick up on this, my mouth stuttered words quietly,
"Why. Why do you want to do this to me?" The beast just chuckled in reply. His eyes shaking off any last sign of pity or insecurity, but instead, they narrowed in fury.
"You took away my freedom."
"Aidan..." I exlaimed, wanting to know more, but he had none of it. His eyes were engulfed in flames as he unsheathed his claws and pounced, but in responce, ember red flames englufed my hands, and fired at Aidan, his eyes wide in alarm as his body fell limp to the ground. My eyes widened in horror at the sight infront of me. His shape of an enlarged wolf began to crunch back into his human self, his jet black hair tangled and messy. His eyes were half open and I found myself running towards him.
"Aidan! Don't leave me now!" But his body was already disintegrating.

"Aidan!" My body shook as I threw myself against the frame of the bed that I was in. My body trembled as Servants filed their way into the room that I was currently in, followed by Dan, a grave, yet calming expression plastered on his face.
"Hush, It was only a dream," exclaimed Dan. I let out a sigh of relief, but the dream was all too realistic. The only thought in my mind was the vivid image of Aidan disintegrating because of me. Which brought me back to the part of the dream where fire engulfed my hands and created a fire substance. As I realised that my heart beat was quickly becoming faster out of all of the happenings of the dream.
Calm down Ember. It was only a dream...
Only a dream.
But somehow, I couldn't find that very convincing.
